- The idea was to put all off-line content avaiable to the online mode, but that won't be possible. Knowing this, the online mode will be a little more restricted;
- Six players will be able to play simultaneously on the online mode. The Players and Sony itself will be able to create online championships for others to play;
- There will be a online ranking, and some kind of show-room for the players to show up their cars to the others;
- There will be lots of chat-rooms for the players;
- The HDD will be supported, but details were not revealed;
- There will be competitions both on the normal race and drift;
- The most powerfull european cars, like Porsches, will be avaiable, just like old historic cars from the 30's and 40's;
- All cars from the previous games will be on GT4;
- Used cars will be back;
- Polyphony Digital is trying to put the most popular cars from USA, Japan and Europe on the game. If some are missing, they'll show up on GT5;
- There will be more possibilities to tune-up your car than in GT3;
- The driving school and driver's license are back;
- The car physics was completely revised and it's even more realistic;
- Competitors that crash intentionaly will be penalized, having to run at the maximum of 30 Mph for 10 seconds;
- Cars won't be damaged (the 3d model);
- The difficult level will be higher;
