hey members of GTP and Monkey D, I am retiring from drifting in GTP(at least for now). I had to return my friends wheel so I am just using the controller. but for now I am retired with a good record and I will just sit back and see how things will go, provide info/tips to novice drifter and if I get good enough, I would like to be a judge for GTP competitions. I might start up after christmas or I might not. only time will tell. for now, I gotta go the bell just rang(at school). so keep cool and keep perpindicular. peace.
 
Well that sucks. Hope you get the wheels for/before/around christmas. As long as you keep around and keep active I dont mind much, just leaves for more room for others to win things. :)
 
What is so bad about using the controller?
I use the Controller and my drifts stay in the "line" and all that other jazz. I need my capture card back!!!!!!!
 
I had to return the copy of GT3 as well. it was my neighbors too. I was referring to if I buy GT3 in the future. I had to return it just a sec ago. peace.
 
Hmmm.. well we are starting a fundraiser for Jetstorm to get his PS2... (so far $1 in the kitty)... maybe we should start one for you 2???
 
The controller is the only way to go brothers. Though it's ability to expand your skillss is limited, it teaches you to make your angles quicker and much more destructively. I don't think I'd ever go wheel for the PS2.
 
Yeah me too, i wouldnt go for a wheel, plus what if you went to someone's house for a battle and they dont a wheels for you to use and you happen to forgot, then your gonna lose to them and yes they will make fun of you. I always prefer control, i can control my car like anyone control their cars with a wheel. Just because you have a wheel, it doesnt mean that your better than the people who uses the anolog. I think everyone is the samething, its how you know how to control your gas.
 
I didn't say I was better, I just said that I don't have a wheel. I like the wheel w/force feedback because you know what your car is doing at all times and you can respond accordingly. the controller doesn't do so. I will just practice once I get a copy of GT3. peace.
 
you should get your own and get your own ps2, i think its better that way,for me, i dont feel like playing others video game, because its not mine and if its mine, im taking my time like im taking my time on gt3. Damn hearing remours of NFSU is making me wanting to play that games, goshh i have to get it!

I believe in a thing called natural progression. I believe the car can handle itself. What the car is doing is on a need to know basis, and I don't need to know. The car will do what the car will do. I'll get it there and get it out, what it does inbetween is a natural progression of events and does not require my constant attention.
 
come on 260 you cant quit. spend the 10-20 bucks for your own copy and then have some fun with the stick... if you quit comps without trying whats the point of ever competing... just take some time to get used to it and when you are ready come back...
 
hey, I didn't quit completly, just for now. I also got grounded from looking at porn on the comp.....again. but I can play GT3 on the weekends(until Christmas break starts). but I still won't be able to make videos. I have tried drifting with the controller and it is not that much of a change. I am used to it, and I am starting to use the Audi S4. that is a great car. I started drifting AWD cars and it is pretty cool and I am getting perpindicular to the track. I am trying to do the same with FR's. When I come back, I will be using AWD cars in most of my comp's so it will be tough to beat me:trouble: . I need to be beaten honestly in a completly fare battle some time because I really don't have anymore goals to complete(but just cause I said I need to be beaten, that doesn't mean I want the judges to sway the results unfarely). the reason why I say this is be cause an article in "F1 Racing" magazine. it was an article about different F1 champions opinions on wether or not Michael Schumacher should retire or not. I am going to quote Damon Hill in his opinion.



"If you're looking at it in purely terms of achieving a career objective to be the best, then yes, Michael should retire. Why? Because he's done it."



and Nigel Mansell's opinion also relates to this in a way as well.


"I also think that the other teams and drivers would like to have the opportunity to beat Michael and Ferarri on fair terms. If he were to leave now, that opportunity would be lost. In some ways Michael needs to be beaten fare and square before he retires."


that is sort of the way I kind of feel about myself. I won't retire until I am beaten, and I will tto try to be even more of a regular in drift comps. I think it will be easier to beat me since there is a lack of a wheel. maybe, maybe not. but I am still drifting in GT3 and competeing in theses comps just because it is fun and it is a test of skills and I won't permanently retire until I get tired of it. for now, I am just taking a break. but I will be back.



once I get better recording materials, I plan to make a rally car only drift video and name it "WRC:Tarmac Stage". do you like the name? peace.

ANyways dude, i know you're trying to say that your good, humm i still want to battle you, but first of all, i have to beat that stupid game Need For Speed Underground, i cant beat it, i mean i do, but takes a long time, stupid traffic is making me piss, i always end up crashing on the finish line and they win. But hey good luck Drift260z, you are good and you should be proud of yourself.
 
I'm assuming the same way my gf caught me. :odd: Either A) Turned the monitor off and ran away giggling. B) The wang comment. C) History files. D) Wasn't finished yet. So he kept going. o__O
 
26oZ, you are good at drifting, but not as good as you think you are. Your last post makes you out to be a world champion, and that you have no more opponents to chalenge you. This is the second time I've noticed one of your posts coming across very cocky. I'm not sure if it's delliberate, but I just thought you should know. There are always more challenges, you just have to have a little patience. Anyway, if you wait a week, I will have my capture card, and then we can battle controller style.;)
 
I'm going to battle him too but not right now, stupid FINALS and all that crap makes me stress, next time i will battle him on 4wd, but until then laters.

sorry I don't mean to sound egotistical. honestly I really don't mean to. but about my post a couple of posts above, it is just that I haven't been beaten. what you are seeing is meant to be pride, not ego or cockiness. there is a fine line between pride in your abilities and egotictical. according to members responses to my posts, I don't walk that line very well. I can't battle right now cause I can't use the computer. but maybe next year(2004) I might be able to. I am posting on the board through the school computer if anyone is wondering. peace.
