i had some questions/ concerns i was wondering if I could get answered..

i was gonna ask in PM form but thought maybe other ppl might be wondering the same thing as me so i decided to post it publically

Some members of the Forum were kind enough to Nominate me a judge for the upcoming Drift Competitions...once again i thank them...

but i must ask,

On what basis do we Judge? do we have several catagories that we rate individually? like Technical/artistic/presentation/originality Etc..

or is it 1 number for overall and that's it?

are there some sort of guildines we follow? or is it kinda based on our own opinion of what we think is hot or not??

any clarication would be appreciated thanx :dopey:

thanx ethix.. for shedding some light on the subject...

that answer the guidlines parts

i was wondering.. have their been any perfect 10's? one that sticks out and kinda set the standard for everyone?

There have been perfect 10's given by individual judges, but never an overall 10. Personally I don't think there should ever be 10's given. Nobody is perfect and getting a 10 means that there's no more room for improvement. That's just my opinion though.

Wow... Thats Some Good Stuff... Yeah... If Some One Was Perfect.. It Would Get Boring... Because They Would Not Get To Learn Anything Cause They Already Know It

ya i was just wondering... i feel the same way as u... and if i didn't give a 10 i wouldn't want ppl to think i'm being harsh or whatever...

Well, you want to try to evaluate the entries to the best of your abilities. There are judges out there who have certain preferences to linking, feint drifting, etc., but they must judge the entries based on the skill level. That is why there are many experienced drifters and/or more mature members on the judging panel. They have the knowledge of drifting more than an average person, so they can read drifts like a book.

Oh, and you have to stand up in what you believe in! That's another story though ...
