Some intresting challenges for beating GT1

I had a few ideas for different ways of beating GT, and here they are:
*These are for only the Japanese cars, not for the US, or UK cars
1. Beat with only Toyota or Nissan (The only manufactors with FF, Lightweight, FR, 4WD, and additionally, MR)
2. Beat with only Used Cars (could be better for saving money:tup

3. Beat with only New Cars (requires Gold on licenses, not too hard)
4. Beat by only getting all pole positions to advance (keep doing whatever 'till every race with pole position)
5. Beat with only cars you win (haven't researched it enough to now if possible)

If anyone has more, just say and try these out to bring back the old classic.

Welcome to GTP n1nj4ofshr3d! These are some great ideas. I read your other thread (GT3 one) and have to ask, you've never beaten GT1? For me I beat GT1, GT2, GT4, and GT5 Prologue. I'm not sure that you can win with Toyotas or Nissans but it's worth a try.

No, I've never had the patience for the 300km Grand Valley Endurance in anything other than GT4, and that has kept me from beating any GT game :guilty:

What stops #5, so long as you win a 4WD car?

The Normal Series can be won with the Supra you win from the Mega-Speed Cup. So you need to win one of those too.

To enter the 4WD cup you will need to win either the FTO LM (cheating!) or the Skyline from the Normal Series.

Or you can allow your starter car to enter, and start with either the non-turbo GTO or the Nissan Pulsar.

Wait, if you use ONLY prize cars, you must gold some license sets first.

And the Nismo 400R is a walkover for both Normal and 4WD series. The TRD 3000GT can win the Normal, too.

In North American version, the Sunday Cup Demio can win both FF and Lightweight Series, and more. But, because of a peculiarity, it is the only prize car allowed to enter the Lightweight Series. It's not such a good performer in other versions, so Lightweight Series might be a problem.

My challenges
I used to like trying to "complete" a simulation mode game in 100 game days. By complete, I meant no gold licenses, but all silver cups; that is, each series was won, but not necessarily each individual race (since the Spot Races weren't visibly recorded, I didn't do them either). To start I'd usually use a 24 day license test save I'd premade. And I'd pick some sort of theme for the game--perhaps using Toyotas only, say. Sometimes I'd try to complete events in "license test order", but not always.

Here's an example where I didn't actually use the 24 day license save...

     The game is now complete.  But I kept it going to try out some
     other cars, test various other possible strategies, and, generally
     have fun.

Another challenge I did was to try to complete the game in 24 hours...
I only sort of made it. For this game I included the Spot Races and Arcade Mode too.

       sleep and actually took about 32 hours.
       I allowed myself to sell cars, and did not wait to get licenses
