Yah, I wish you could see the full size pic. I have a 17" moniter and it takes up the whole screen. They look a lot better when they're bigger.

Some great shots in this thread.

Milefile I suggest you ramp down the film speed. Try using ISO 100 film - you'll find the colours richer and the grain smaller. It'll mean your exposures will be longer, but you should still be able to hand-hold in reasonable light, and basic tripods shouldn't be more than $50.

TeazR, your camera has underexposed the snow-shot, which is fairly typical. You should add two stops of exposure to snow scenes.

Actually i did it like that on purpose. It's not taken at very bright conditions anyway due the fog. And the blueish tone is pretty much as it was to the naked eye when the pic was taken.
I am a professional photographer so i know how my camera (and others) work.

Funny you should metion the tripod. I have a basic one, and just a week or two ago I went to this event called Zoolights, where the local zoo puts up millions of Christmas lights. I brought the tripod and decided to leave it in the car and regretted it because there were several great night time shots if I'd only brought it. I need to stop worrying about being the only guy walking around with a tripod.

The times I've gotten 200 or 100 speed film I take a few pictures and end up having to finish the roll inside. I prefer, whenever possible, to not use a flash inside. The brightness of the flash makes people look unreal, and I prefer the softness and realism of natural light. That's why I usually go with 400; I find it to be the most versatile. But I do plan on taking entire rolls of 200 or 100 out in the Arizona countryside ASAP, before school starts up again. Maybe Monument Valley, or the Grand Canyon.

ooh, pro photographer?? that is nice. Id actually like to see some more of your work. hell, some more of everyones work, dammnit!!! I took some Photo classes, so I have some material of myself, but meh, I never had a really good eye, I dont really like most of the pics I took.

Ok. I got some more around sunset this afternoon.

This one is just basically the sunset. The angle isint that good, not bad, nontheless.

This one is of the valley. You can see into the next state (60 miles) on a clear day.

This one a picture of a stream near my house.

When I was going back to my house, I snapped this picture of the moon.

Yeah, the quality is kinda crappy because it's a kinda crappy digicam. But I am glad to show these to you guys.

The yellow ones coming out at 45 degrees are lens flare. The pink ones directly above the sun are where you've overwhelmed your camera's CCD. I know this because I had some issues with it last night shooting night lighting scenes.

Most photo labs can make an image file from a negative these days.

Just take the negatives to Wal-Mart and I'm pretty sure they'll be able to put them on a disk which you can then put on the comp. which you can then post.
