I had this idea because of how many times I'd like to reply seperately to different posts. Here's my idea:
Sometimes I get mad because I want to reply to different parts of the same post, and it's hard to do that without major copy paste and button clicking etc.
My idea is to have another button that brings up a dropdown menu or text box for you to choose how many parts of the post you would reply to, and then it would work like a normal quote, except there would be several empty quote boxes. Under the post textbox, it displays what the post was that you quoted, and you can just copy and paste different parts of it into the boxes. For example:
First, when you selec, say, 4 things in the post you want to quote seperately, you get this:

(without the spaces)
and underneath it shows the post, as an example, let's say the post was like this:
1:cars are good.
2:I like cars.
3:do you like cars?
4:Let's talk about cars!
Instead of ending up like this with the normal qoute option:
Then respond, to get this:
It would help with longer posts with lots of parts to it, so you wouldn't need to respond seperately.
OR
Another option would be to have a seperator tag, that puts this:
Then respond, to get this:

So do I2:I like cars.
Yes3:do you like cars?
OK.4:Let's talk about cars!

Inside the current qoute, to seperate it there, and in between it, you can put your reply.
What would make it better is the option to multiquote it too, so that you can select the number for all posts you want to quote, then press the reply button, and end up doing the same thing. You could use the regular multiquote button for the second option.
I personally think the second option is the best, but the first came from random brainstorming.
Also, I think when you multiquote you should be able to see farther back, like into the previous pages. For example, if there is a 2 page thread, and you want to quote the last 5 posts on the 1st page, and 3 on the second page, I would like if I could do both. That way I don't have to open up another explorer for the other page, and multiquote the other posts, then paste that into the other window. That's too annoying.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway, excuse the long post, but I had a lot to say, so take it into consideration.![]()
