So im playing initial d ver. 2 today and got a new card. i pick the r34 gtr in black because it looked so awesome. so i play for a while and get 2 upgrades, then a couple asians walk up. the first one sits down next to me and puts in his integra card, then challenges me. ok, ill race you, he loses miserably becuase he cant drift worth crap. so a second guy puts his lancer card in, challenges, then he loses miserably too because he doesnt know what a drift even is. so a third comes up and challenges me in his r32. i think finally some competition, the first thing he does is slams into a wall and downshifts 3 gears, smart. so im sitting there, playing, i start to race against shingo. im slamming through all the turns, shingo about 50 meters behind me with just a little more to go untile the finish. i go into the last turn, and accidently hit the brake instead of the accelerator, losing barely.

one of the guys i just murdered then says, oh i would have beat him. i turn around in my seat and stare straight at him.

"excuse me, but didnt i just horribly murder you in your integra?"
"you got lucky..."
"if i got lucky, why did you lose so badly?"
"im having a bad day..."
"are your other 2 little buddys having a bad day too?

conversation over, i left nickel nickel right then, fuming.

Last year the P.E coach (also my football coach) let us go outside and do whatever, so me and some friends got a game going (Although one guy wasn't exactly on my best of friends list). We had been playing for about 5 minutes when I snapped the ball and the guy I mentioned slapped the ball out of my hands from the other side of the line of scrimmage which wasn't to be crossed until 5 Mississippi. I then stopped the play and told him he couldn't cross any part of the line with any part of his body when he made an untruthful statement and said he had played football all his life. I then said if you had been playing all your life then you'd know not to go past the line of scrimage. He got in my face and all the stupid crap and put his fist up, but I simply said: "You're too much of a punk for me to waste my time beatin' your a$$". I walked off and he didn't do crap as I had expected. I was just glad I could control my temper. Whew, long story for such a short event.

You know the azns. Under their parents' strict control their children get stuck at home and know jack about the world unless they bail out. That's what I'm doing now. It's time for them to learn that the Civics are slow even in corners and I do not see a reason NOT to get a Silverado or something similar. Oh, try agsinst the GMC Sierra! That truck turns like a mofo.

I think they are like that because they get whatever they want at home and they act just like kings. It kind of reminds me of those bratty kids who get what they want from their parents without earning it. It doesn't apply to asians, but many other people as well.

Exactly. However in Suprafly case those guys think that observation is the same as trying it out. In analogy, they may THINK that even WALKING on an I-beam in the olympics is easy to do. Same goes to public speaking, being a playa, beating Super Mario Brothers 3 in 11 mins, and so forth.

That is also why there are causalties due to imitating Initial D in real life. It's better to learn how to drive well with a crappy car (excluding the now poorly trended AE86) instead of going nuts with an expensive car because they think their car is the best. Exceptions apply, of couse (such as exhaust_note's case damn I want an Evo when I was 16 lol)

Also their childhood are very different than most people living in America. Parenthood play a huge impact, because that is their only source of learning things not teached in school. Not many Asian parents live their lives with fixing cars, really. Their next generation then must get their information from an outside souce, like friends of their own age and books and they are not reliable sources. In other words, when dealing with complex things, experience is an important factor. And if they don't know how complex it is to actually drive a car well, it's their fault.

I 'member one time. I was playing Ferrari 355 Challenge just fooling around where I used to work. (The arcade here, Blasters.) I got a decent time on a track and got up to walk away. Some punk, he had to be at least 19 was like, "That time was pansy, dude." All I said was, "I know, but I'm out of tokens." So the kid sat down and the first thing he did was put the car in Automatic, and turn on the steering assist. (mine you I was in manual, with the sim. steering). I chuckled and he turned and stared at me, all hateful-like. He was watching over his shoulder and his time was behind mine by 25 seconds. I mocked him and said, That time was pansy, dude." He got up and stormed off.

those asians that you guys know, the ones with the strict parents, and who know nothing of life whatsoever outside of school, we call them "gaysians". if you knew the other type of asian, you guys wouldn't be clowning them so much.

and nowadays, it's mostly the white people and mexicans who think they can be the next takumi fujiwara, and its also the white people and mexicans who started up ricerism. i have yet to see an asian in san diego with a riced out car. when their cars are fixed up, they are fixed up correctly. only riced out cars i see around here are driven by non-asians.

Thats right. The asians I know here in Ohio use quality parts for their cars and actually tune their cars correctly. The other demographics put crazy spoilers and stickers on their car. Rice was use just because asians started modding their cars, but its the non asian tuners that have made the sceen ugly with cars that don't know what they are.

Now, the controversey here probably, is even if they tuned up correctly, a lot of their currency is put into ash and dust. Not to mention, is it worth all the trouble?

For a broad example:

Civic: I/H/E and turbo = $4000 most, 100bhp max
Impala: Camshaft = $700 most, 50bhp max

You'll see in a lot of JDM tuning forums (honda forums suits best), a LOT of us go for looks as first priority, such as a six spoke hex-shaped wheels regardless what quality (ie ISO9001, QS9002, etc) the wheels have, how light they are, and tires, they go for brand and thread shape instead of how they adapt to their daily driving. Simple things like that, and near half missed it.

I'm a poor man, so enlighten me, would my next car be a used Datsun 240Z or a used Chrysler Rentless?

hey hey now whats the prejiduce thing going against asians. not all are bad you know. im asian, so watch what you say. but i really do understand. i come accross those people all the time. but the always fail to defeat my 86 due to the same reason. they dont know what drift is. dam drag racers dont know jack but to put a car in gear and push the thottle.

not all asians are alike so be care what you say alright guys.....laters.

well most asians are like that...im asian too and i enjoy draggin my viet ass down to little tokyo to play sum initial d against some wanabe cholo or something....i can beat their ITR wit my barely modified fc and they just say that its because i have more power or something....then i laugh my ass off and go find something to eat...

I remember when I was in highschool. Street Fighter was THE game to play (hm, kinda gives you guys a clue how old i am ). I had this friend that, everytime he gets gets his ass clobbered in the game, he'd do this Blanca Cannonball-move-thingy, like, 15-times straight, just so he could get even. And he'd be laughing his ass off while I'm there wishing I had a 9-iron to shove up his bunghole. God, I hate that cannonball piece of ****...
