1. I have seen videos of side-by-side drag races in the Las Vegas drag strip, but the Las Vegas drag strip in my JP version of the game is merely a 400 meter test, and is not an actual race between two cars. Has anybody managed to locate the Las Vegas drag strip where you can race against an opponent?

2. The arcade mode has three ways to initially choose a car to race with. The first is by manufacturer, the second shows a timeline where the cars are split up according to their date of manufacture. I cannot access the third because it says that there are no cars in that section. Has anyone managed to unlock the cars in that section?

3. Is there a way to "finish" the arcade section of GT4? I notice that each of the four sections (real circuit, original course, city course, dirt & snow) in the single race and time trial sections has two numbers under the description e.g. the real circuit says 19/19. I would assume that one number means the number of tracks because the real circuit does contain 19 tracks, and the other number would mean the number of tracks beaten. However, there are no required lap times given prior to the race, and I have won several of the single races, yet the number remains 19/19.

Answer to #2: I'm pretty sure that's your "Favorites" group so if you haven't put any cars on the list, it will continue to be empty.

#2. When you're selecting a car, press Up on the D-Pad and you can add it to your favorites as mclaren777, mentioned. To take it off the list, press Up again. This way it's quicker to access the cars you use the most.

1. I've been wondering the same thing. I haven't figured out how to actually race at the drag strip either.

2. Answered above.

3. Don't those numbers mean "Number unlocked/Total number"??? It doesn't say 19/19 when you first start, (does it???), it was something smaller I think, like 11/19. I don't know if its days passed or A-spec points that unlock more courses. Once it says 19/19, that means you've unlocked 19 out of 19 courses.

Thanks for the answers!

I'm not sure what the arcade section looked like when I first started the game because I didn't even bother looking until I got about 40% game completion in gran turismo mode, but you're probably right in saying that those numbers represent the number of tracks and the number of tracks unlocked.

My hopes for an honest-to-betsy GT4 drag race are rapidly dwindling because I'm at 60 something percent now and nothing, nada, zilch!

1 : No (cup) races on the Las Vegas Drag Strip. It's stupid.. You can race against someone in speed and power i guess. If not.. well.. then it;s only in 2P i guess.

2 : That are probably you favorite cars, don't know, will look at it in a couple of hours.

3 : That's because there are only 19 real courses :P (you unlocked them all)
You can't unlock anything in arcade mode.

I'd be happy if you could drag race against someone in two-player mode, but my question would still remain the same. Where in two-player mode can I drag race against an opponent?
