Porsche busted out of Malaysian showroom

A car thief has apparently stolen a Porsche 911 Targa 4 in Malaysia by gunning it straight through the showroom glass doors.

In a heist straight from a Hollywood script, the man, who was described as well-dressed – had already produced his chequebook when he asked a saleswoman to switch on the Porsche’s engine. He then floored the throttle and smashed through the showroom and onto the street.

But the thief failed to take one key point into account: that most new cars are delivered to the dealer on fumes. Police officers found the car abandoned 1.5 kilometres away, reputably out of fuel.

The car was subsequently stolen from police compound. They suspect the same theif as he had a set of keys.

Hey,how did you get that news?I was just reading that article on my yesterday's local newspaper (yeah,i don't like to read the newspaper. But i was bored just now because i had to take care of my nephew while my mom go bathe and pray) but enough about me,is this really big news?Wow....

But that thief is stupid....how can he go and steal a showroom car?It supposed to be "for display only" right? But the truth is,the saleswoman was at fault when she gave the keys to that person....weird story.....

Wouldnt' that have been funny if he'd run out of gas while racing a riced-out Honda Civic?

Anything on a showroom is usually up for grabs, just at lower prices.

As for the keys, come to the U.S., show you have money, and just about any dealer will let you fire up the car. I've seen it a few times on my trips. Of course, none of the dealers I go to have window frames big enough to shoot through, and are usually blocked by other cars on the showroom.

But I guess the theif took the saying, "Porsche. There is no substitute." a little too seriously.

If you guys thought that was funny... guess what, it got stolen again. :)

BUKIT MERTAJAM: Just hours after abandoning a RM1 million sports car which he had driven away from a showroom, the thief is believed to have struck again.
This time, he drove the same car out of the district police station compound, and just like in his previous attempt, he abandoned the vehicle.

The Porsche 911 Targa 4 is back in the police station, this time under lock and key in one of the garages.

But the incident has left Penang police stumped and red-faced as this attempt occurred right under their noses.

The suspect, police believe, had the car keys and came with a container of petrol.
:D

The police station in question is about 20 minutes away from my home.

What!It happened again?Man,this thief has got to be stupid.......er,wait.I think the police are stupid for not paying attention. The thief got into the police station compound to steal the same car again, only to found out that the car has run out of fuel. this is one unlucky fellow.....

Wow this is just like Gone in Sixty Seconds now...stealing cars from the police impound lot.

So, a Porsche has been stolen, however, as there is no fuel in the car, the thief abandons the vehicle and makes a run for it. When the police arrives at the scene, they decide to take the Porsche to the stolen car depot where later that night, that same thief, most probably, steals the car once again...

Are you sure the police was involved?
