I like my anonymity.
Searching for my username gets 761,000 results, and I'm not in the top 50.
Searching for my real name gets 5,620,000 results, and again I'm not in the top 50.

My username is safe, my real name is not. If I search my real name, the second listing is a research paper that I wrote. Further down is information about an international technical competition that my team won, further from that is a listing from an old job that I had. On the next page are more papers that I've written.

Luckily nothing embarrasing.

My username came up 24th on the google search. I'm surprised. I searched 10 pages, but nothing from gtplanet though.

When you type up M5Power this is the first thing that comes up:

http://m5power.stumbleupon.com/

Can you imagine an M5Power that isn't me.

Hah... how about the one you made up most of your GTP career?

Typing in "Zrow" usually gets me pages about the z-row in some type of java coding page.

Google
Results 1 - 10 of about 8,020 for gilesguthrie. (0.48 seconds)

Not the most comprehensive search ever, since I have over 8,600 posts here alone, plus 2,280 at my own place, and 2,200 at The Aviation Forum.

First result is my user profile at my web site's forum.

If you search for me you will find tons of comic book fanboy sites. By page 3 I had yet to find me.

I made it foolkiller79 (my original username) and there is one hit from a Lost site, a couple from GTP, and one from Jinx.com.

I hope potential employers never search for my real name though, because I never actually come up but there is a country singer, an auther/poet, and a few weird guys out there.
