Folks,

I am telling you there is some kind of speed modifier on our cars.....it is not a coincidence how bunched up everyone is all the time. Also, it isn't a coincidence that when your sat in first and on the first lap there is an incident which means you have a 5 second lead on 2nd, then after 2 laps hes right up your backside. But....but.....as soon as i have an incident and fall 5 sec behind, with 2 laps i'm up his backside again, who is faster?????? hard to work out. It doesn't seem to matter how good your quali time is either, everyone in the race seems the exact same speed. I just don't get it. Unless something drastic happens to your opponents there is no pulling away. Another give away is i have never done a lap close to my quali time, what is that???? something fishy is going on. But i do love close racing rather than the spread out F1 racing i normally do.

Draft in daily races helps quite a bit. Perhaps you're talking about player created lobbies? Then it could be a case of boost being turned on.

Well I’ve finished with large gaps to 2nd place guy so if there is something like that going on I think it’s not consistent.

Known effects that cause this kind of effect are

1) Driver skill/mistakes
2) Draft effect (which can be varied by room)
3) Engine power (which can be varied room)
4) Different tire wear
5) Serving a penalty
6) lobby settings

There’re probably others. But before “fishy” could be confirmed you need to eliminate the effects above. Your description doesn’t address these.

For qualifying - there’s no clear cut data to base this in but I think each Q lap is configured to be ideal - race weight at 1 lap of fuel, tires fully new and correct temperature.

It’s usual that q times are faster than race times int he real world. Not always but it’s not abnormal.
