I bought a dodge charger r t used and i changed the oil and did an engine overhaul because my car would not go above 100mph! I tuned it thinking it would do some good, now its 588hp and cant go above 112mph!!! This is what i noticed when it gets to 112 mph the number which tells you what gear you're on is on 5 and right next to it a bright red dot glows and slows the car down to about 110 mph and again begins rising to 112 and this just repeats itself over and over again. Im no car genius so i dont exactly know what this means please help a noob i know the charger can go faster than 112 mph with 588 hp, i changed about everything except the chassis (maintenance) and ran out of money, if someone can please tell me what exactly is wrong i would save my credits to fix it, thank you

The first thing you're doing wrong is not pressing the shift key often enough. "Dodge" and "Charger" are both names and need a capital letter at the start. "I" is the personal pronoun and requires a capital letter. Proper use of capital letters is required by the Acceptable Use Policy you agreed to when you signed up.

The second thing you're doing wrong is assuming power = speed. Power just gets you to the same speed quicker. A car with a geared limit of 112mph will do 112mph whether it has 59hp or 590hp - it'll just get there quicker with 590hp. You're bouncing off the gearbox limit. You need to lengthen your gear ratios so the car has a higher top speed.
