Ok, I went into the Tommy Kaira dealership to look at the ZZ II.

I went through all the colors and Red, black, blue, white, silver, and yellow. The first three colors, the car has gold rims. The last three colors the car has black rims. Why is this so? Can anyone explain this?
Are there any other cars that do this?

Probably since that's what it's like in real life... TK might've thought that the gold rims simply don't match some of the paint colors, so they used black ones instead. :)

Nope. (As far as I know).

Well one of the Aston Martin's Wheels (V12 Vanquish) change from light color to a little darker color when you change some of the colors...

The Camaro SS has different coloured rims according to what paint you choose.

How do you guys pronounce Tommy Kaira? Is it Ky-ra, Kay-ra, Karr-a?!?!

Well you cant really say that. For example the new 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi looks awesome with the metallic blue paint and gold rims. So its just going to be a matter of eather your gonna love it or hate it.

Yeah, come to think of it, I think that there are different wheels for some car companies (other than TK)...

I've always assumed that it's pronounced like "Care-ah"... *shrugs*

Hey, where can you buy a ZZII? I assume you can buy them in Japan, but what about Australia or Europe? Has anyone here seen one? Do you guys have any idea how much they cost? I imagine it would be able to blow the doors off of many-a supercar!

Never seen one in Australia although i'm about 75% sure you could get one off an import place.

A full list of cars that do this:

Honda Integra Type-R
Suzuki Alto Works Suzuki Sports Limited
Tommy Kaira ZZII
Both Acura versions of the NSX
Chevrolet Camaro SS
Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Coupe

OK, then how do you pronounce "kaiara"?

I say Tommy Ky-Ra.

So noone here has seen a ZZII in real life? Is there a webpage that tells the price and stuff? Wouldn't this car blow the doors off of any Lambo Ferrari or Porsche? I have never heard of it outside of GT3. Whats going on?

you pronounce it how it's spelled. *shrug*

ky-ar-a? kai, like 'hi' ar, like R, and a, not AY, not UH, a

ki-R-ah? **** if i know.

I dunno 12.sec, maybe they don't have that kind of price for performance that people are looking for...TK don't have an official site either... :(

Actually, they do, but's it's a Japanese site. (I'll look for the URL later...)

Okay, here it is: http://www.tommykaira.com/

The main page is in English, but everything else is in Japanese.

I've read once that Tommy Kaira was bought by another company called ASL and they built the Garayia (or something like that) out of the ZZII... could be wrong though.
