something odd i noticed in replays

i noticed that in some races, you cant control the car you want to watch, but theres something even more odd. if you watch the replay, the throttle profile of the AI cars never goes as high as mine does, so you would think they arent full throttle. but some how they are just as fast. is it a glitch? also, when i use the rear view, some times you see streaks come from no where. weird
 
To control the car you want to watch press start during the replay and go to replay options then select the replay type that looks like a car
 
alright. i know what the sparks lok like, but there are streaks across the whole screen of yellow, black, orange, red, and blue. it does it a lot on apricot hill 2 after the tight hair pin before the large right hander
 
You've got the replay set to react to the background music. It goes all "arty". Press "Start" during the replay, then move across to "Replay Options". You'll see, amongst other things, a picture of a car with some musical notes (quavers, for the interested) on either side of it. This will be highlighted. Change it to just the car on its own, or the wiggly bit of track and you'll never be plagued by arty washes again.
 
lol. i don't care how i watch replays...

about AI's throttle: yep, somehow they keep it at 9/10. maybe it's differnt for modes (easy, medium, hard, if you are looking at arcade mode)
 
im only in simulation, and the streaks only appear when im driving at apricot hill looking in the reverveiw during braking. and its not my tv; my friend's does it too.
 
The AI never 'hammer down' all the way in Beginner and Amateur modes.
