I was happily playing Vice City yesterday when my PS2 started making some grinding noises! I quickly turned off my PS2 and opened up the disc tray and luckily my game wasn't scratched. So i put my vertical PS2 into the horazontial position started back up the game and it did it again! It also gave me an error message saying that it had an error reading the GTA: Vice City DVD! I again took the disc out and looked at it and this time it had been scratched
!
So I decided to play some different games to see if it did the same thing, i played MGS2 and GT3 in both the vertical and horozontal postions and they both worked fine. So i put Vice city back in and it seemed to work then.
So when i got up this moring i started up vice city, and i played it for awhile, then the grinding noises came again, except this time they wern't so loud, so i just paused the game and with the game still running i took out the disc and put it back in, it seems to be fine now, but i play a little more today and see if it makes any more noises.
Any thoughts?
