Sometimes I feel low speed grip is too low in GT6.

I keep hearing complaints from people "cars and tyres are still too grippy" in GT6. I was doing the coffe break cone challenge with the Ferrari 458 tonight and I just feel like the car has way too little grip in low speed.

I mean I've never driven a 458 but I would imagine it should have a lot more grip than that. I was under-steering at 40kph trying to make a small 30 degree bend.

In real life I can almost take a hairpin corner at 60kph in my R33 skyline in the dry in good conditions. I have never under steered like I do in GT6 at such low speeds and the R33 is not a light car.

Anyone else feel low speed grip is perhaps too low in the game?

As far as I remember from GT5, the 458 is kind of slippery at low speeds. Even on Sport Soft tires. Never liked that car. I prefer the McLaren MP4-12C or the Ford GT.

What tires were on the 458?

I'm not sure. I have to check but I suspect sport hard. I even had SFR on! But that is beside the point.

The point is there is no way a 458s stock tyres can be worse than what I have on my car which are $160/tyre kumos or something. 245/30/19. Complete junk compared to the Ferraris, which are something like 315/30/20 and 255 on the front Michelen sport cups. The best road legal tyre you can get.

I am 100% sure I could make those soft corners in real life about 10-20kph above what the ferrari in GT6 understeers at without even making a screech.

That said I have never driven a 458 in real life so maybe the cars super light front end makes makes the car understeer at slow bends, but if thats the case the 458 is not a very good car.

I have also noticed the same thing with other cars in GT5.

Maybe the roads are just hotter and stickier in Australia :D

I have noticed in America the roads in many places seem covered in a fine layer of dirt and dust.

2 days ago i was racing online against a fast lotus elise 111 . After a couple race we ended up speaking about a the mclaren f1 94 i used to drive in gt5 from 650 pp to 550 ... It s hard to drive in gt5 but it is a lot worst in gt6 and i didnt know why.

HERE IS THE IMPORTANT THING .

He told me to go back to stock rims cause when you change rims size, it messes up the real size of the tires . Especially MR cars because you got bigger tires in the back. For exemple the mclaren is 9.5 inch in the front and 11.5in the back . So with new rims the it s 9.5 inch on four corner. Which is why i couldnt hold the line at 100 kmh and that is without touching the gas.

Sorry for my spelling, i can translate anything from french if someone need :)

The type of tire is a major point as well. Some of the events will use different tires than what come on the car. The Hudson for example came with SH but when you drive the time trial it is on comfort tires and if you drive like you are on Sport tires when actually on Comfort tires the car will seem to handle poorly even if it doesn't

Edit: I just tried it car has SH tires on it. I did not notice anything odd about it. That is a very tight little track and you simply can not go around tight corners like that with any speed in that type of car. If you try you are going to get a lot of understeer
