So us Kiwis get muffed over even more than the Aussies...our wages are less, we pay more for consumables ($2.11 a litre for fuel) for example yet our DLC costs more? Why cant it be simple and be based on USD but nothings simple is it?

Yeah I already got mine, unfortunately I have at least another 15 hours before I can try it due to work and cricket training 👎 :(

It's all part of the build up! ;)

I just took a quick spin on Route X, and that'll have to last me till my lunch break. Actually had to delete two more cars from my garage to make room for the six new ones. :indiff:

How come the prices in the Aussie store are wrong. The GT website said $8.45. I'm so sick of having to add credits to my wallet because the prices randomly go up overnight... Get your act together guys... :-(

No idea what's going on there either. But it was already wrong for the last car pack (still is). I guess at the end of the day, it's the store price that counts, irrespective of what Sony/PD may have listed on their web-pages.

Dead right there Doc. Still, some consistency would be good as some folks try and budget the price in then discover they need more. For Students & kids that could mean a week delay til pocket money day rolls around again.

Guess the lesson here is to budget an extra few bucks for insurance 👍

Australian prices confirmed:

Speed Test Pack: $6.95AUD
Car Pack 3: $9.95AUD

Total: $16.90AUD

Exchange rate as of 05:55 ACDST:

USD: $17.5942
Euro: €13.6999
GBP: £11.4058

Of course (pun fully intended!) I will buy it despite it being a little on the high side because there's nothing we can do about it unfortunately :(

Wow, what a joke, 10 bucks for an Aventador, don't think so.

and 7 for 'ONE' track? 🤬 outrageous

If we want to get into the money exchanges and such, let's get into minimum wages in AU. This is a very basic bare bones assessment: The federal minimum is $15.00(I had to look it up). That's twice the US minimum. So if a 2 people do the same job every week at the minimum (one in US, one in AU) the person in Australia gets twice as much. That would stand to reason when the price of gas is about twice as much, a pack of butts are around twice as much (give or take), and the DLC costs twice as much. This may very well be the answer... why does Sony expect twice as much from AU? Because, theoretically, they get paid twice as much.

Which is all very well, but the software is developed in Japan and purchased from Europe...

What? You're paying for six cars, not one.

As for the track, it's more than a track. It's a completely new game mode.

Ok, well I've come to a conclusion that 17 bucks for the 6 cars and new track/game mode isn't worth it.

However, I did raise with Playstation Australia today the discrepency between the online price quoted by GT5 and the prices on the Playstation Store, so hopefully they'll all be reduced to $5.60 for the Car Pack 2 and Track X, and $8.XX for Car Pack 3.

If that's the case, then it only looks to be a tax additive to the USD prices, so I think $13-14 for everything is ok, not great, but I'll probably buy it.

we all spoke of the situation in Denmark, that got me wondering, are there any Singaporeans around to tell us the situation in Singapore with regards to the DLC?

With the way things cost in this place you'd think the streets are paved with gold, but they aren't the roads are neglected.

It is quite simple, buy the DLC or don't buy it.Don't buy your pack of smokes, case of beer, bag of weed,Big Mac,or what ever kills you as you consume it.Don't get me wrong,I'm on the "highway to hell" to quote that little famous Aussie band, but oh well.

Just buy from Singapore PS store...It's the cheapest of all (I think) since it's only S$7.79 (£4.79=S$9.43) for Car pack 3 BUT I believe the SSX should be free

Yeah, and they got that Chromeline Jaguar XJ13 for free. Not to mention the GT Academy Special GT-R they got 6 months before anyone else just for entering the GT Academy time trial.

No, hang on, I've got that one wrong again...

Well you get my point.
I simply don't want region locks on cars.
As a collector I want EVERY car.
So PD better release the Stealth models for DLC soon...

I would love to pick and chose my Playstation Store, however, PS Australia won't let me, without moving continent - unless you know of another way? Some way to log into another regions Playstation Store (on PC presumably) and use it that way?

I think that's a fair enough request, there would be almost no work required, and its better than you being forced to find the edition that sold DLC (wasn't there one at launch that had all the stealth cars?).

Yes, the signature edition.

We should be careful on this topic as there's more than a couple of threads on it & I'm pretty sure the staff wouldn't want another

Exactly, and me as a pre-order costumer even says it's ok to let others buy the Stealth models as a DLC.
I mostly bought the Collectors edition for the car model and book but...
EU's collectors edition with the car was renamed Signature Edition so I didn't get a car anyway.:indiff:

Marketing strategy.

What rip off NZ because there's not so much people there so they have to get an even amount of money so they just rip us off. :grumpy: I don't usually complain about GT5 these days or anything related, but Sony is just being a pack of 🤬. DLC Pack 1 (full pack) is I think $27 here or $22. I didn't check 2.
