I actually have one of my original Dualshocks! still alive and kicking! we use it as our #2 controller, while the DS2 that came with our system still works, too.

we have two third-party controllers, they're terrible. we never use them.

However, there's this steering-wheel shaped controller from Logitech that i've heard good things about...G25, is it?....

I've always bought official Sony stuff, and I've had no problems. By contrast, my friends buy 3rd party stuff which I find both uncomfortable and sometimes unstable, crashing the game. (Never ever press a button that you don't know the function of...)

I've never had to replace any of my official Sony components. I'm still on the controller it came with when I bought it in 2003. It's worth the extra cash 👍

I've been through many a third party one (namely because if I break one we have a spare official one and mum just buys a cheapo one) but of course if I break the spare one...I have to use the cheapo one...

I purposely break the cheapo ones so I can get a new Sony one, most of them tend to be bigger and more uncomfortable to hold, the buttons tend to be quite clunky and almost impossible to use for (as an example) light acceleration in racing games or it feels very difficult to pull of quick combos in fight games...many a battle I've lost on DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2 because of clunky buttons. Not to mention the analogue sticks are often way too sensitive or quite the opposite...

So I'd say...stick to Sony.

that motion sense controller looks cool, I would try it if I could, I have never baught a off brand PS2 controller, but XBOX ones wirk just as good as microsoft brand, I would get mad cats mini controllers for the XBOX cause they felt better, and there wqere larger ones too that were fun to use... i would say try one, you might be happy.

Well I've used a couple of DS2's in my day. Both Sony and none Sony. I belive that most are crap, but worth the price, considering that most are dirt cheap. While Sony products tend to be quite expensive. (God Damn Memory Cards) I peferr Logitech's controllers, they are kinda like rubber, which improves grip, and are bigger, yet more comfortable. I also like Wireless the most, If! There good wireless controlers that is...
