Good buy. I'm glad you didn't buy the Blose cans. NEVER buy bose products. They're horrible.

457's were my first pair of cans. I still use them with all of my portables. They're nice and warm to counteract the bright crappiness found a lot of the time in portable devices when played raw through its output.

The only problem I have with the ones you got is they are so damn big, other than that they probably sound great, a lot better than any Sony's anyway. Aren't you glad you went Senn.?

 Blose... I've always thought they were overrated.

Nice! I have a pair of HD437 for the computer, which I had for around CAN $40 a while back. It's exactly the same design, and while they aren't lookers, they're very solid and will take a lot of abuse. The sound quality is pretty good for cheap headphones.

Listening to the iPod with the Sennators right now. They're really bass oriented, but that could be because I've been listening to the thing through a pair of 1.5W speakers (in my pillow for sleeping) for 9 months now. Might have to work with the EQ through iTunes, which I'm not looking forward to, but oh well. Maybe I'll just get used to it.

Use the iPod rock EQ preset. It's the most balanced, in my opinion.

They're Sennheisers, not sennators.

And nobody has really answered my question (which is why I posted on GTP):
Sony 150s or 300s?
But, I did! :D I said to go with the most you can afford, which in your case is the 300. I do like your new headphones though. 👍 Sony is not as bad as they say. I think everybody is judging Sony headphones on what's sold in American retailers, but Sennheiser is a great brand, no doubt about that. I've wanted one for very long time! :)

You are kidding me, right? I was making a point that There are Sony high-end headphones with great quality. I have not shopped for $40 headphones in over 10 years! I like in the ear phones for what they are, but I've heard that they are damaging to your hearing, so I don't like them(but I use the one that came with the iPod. What a hypocrite! :p). This is really embarrassing, but I have what they call "dumbo" ears. If I wear those clip on headphones, I'm gonna look like Panda. Yes I've tried them, straight from Japan, even before those style headphones hit the States. I GAVE THEM AWAY. :(

I'm not going to take away anything from Sennheisers. I used to be into stereos, you know. I know how good they are. All I said was that there are "high-end" products Sony makes(including headphones), that you will never see in the States, except for those who import them on their own.

That PX200, is $50 the retail or what? :sly: If they are under $50, I sure am interested. Since I got that new iPod, I am in the market for new portable set. :)

 Panda, that would be interesting to see. Anyway, :cough: see post #4 :cough: :D

Thanks, man. Is that the lowest price you found?

P.S. It reminded me of Panda, because the set was black. I felt like a total freak show with those things on. Never bring this up again. :D

Considering it's 2 day free s&h and it's $50 that's pretty bad ass in it's self, if you go anywhere else the price alone will probably gonna be around $59.

If you're worried about how reputable the place is, I got a pair for my dad because he liked mine so much. :D

If you aren't going to be walking down the street, who cares how big your headphones are. ;)

They're that big because Sennheiser cans sit around your ear and not on top of them, like most cans. Comfort + (I can wear my HD555's for hours). 👍

:guilty: I know but I just never liked big cans even though I knew they were great, even better sounding than these PX-200s.

I know they're Sennheisers, but Senn is also the first four letters of Sennator. So yeah, I'm a funny guy ;)

I said EQ tuning in iTunes because it changes the song tags, whereas the EQ on the iPod unit changes the playback, using up battery power (that I have plenty of now, but not the case half a year ago).

Right now I'm on Bass Reducer 'cause it was fairly prominant on 'Acoustic' mode. I seem to remember 'Classical' being a fun setting, bu I'll take the test drives tomorow.
