There's no handheld gaming section, so I figured this is the best place for this thread.

I have a lot of down time at work, so I'm looking for a device to take with me. I know the PSP has better graphics/more advanced games, and it's more of a multimedia device than the DSi, but I also have my phone with me at all times so I can watch movies/listen to music/browse the web on that, so the multimedia aspect of the PSP is kinda moot. I know the DSi has less advanced games and caters to more casual gamers (aka me), but I know that doesn't mean the games aren't good. Does anyone have any experience with the PSN for PSP and the online store for the DSi? Are there many titles? Are there big name games/classic titles available for download, or is it just DLC and smaller indie games? What's the battery life like? I assume the PSP has far worse battery life. Can you buy extended life batteries? That's about all I can think of for now. Anyone care to offer an opinion?

Yes. It sucks.

and the online store for the DSi?
Is even worse.

Are there many titles?
For PSP? Yes. For DSi? No.

Are there big name games/classic titles available for download, or is it just DLC and smaller indie games?
For PSP? Both. You can get PSX games, most big-name PSP games, plus some more "normal" DLC style games.
For DSi? No. Most DSiWare is stupid crap like calculators and piecemeal DS games.

What's the battery life like?
4-5 hours on the PSP (3-4 if you play a UMD game). 9-10 on the DSi.

Can you buy extended life batteries?
Yes. They increase the battery life to 9-10 hours on the PSP
