Does anyone know if Ferraris, Lambos, Porsches, etc are going to be in the game?

I know that all of them want to be in the game (who wouldn't?) and that their licence with EA is meant to expire some time soon. So are they going to be put in? I remember when PD put a Lambo Diablo in GT3 the Japanese version by mistake and had to take it out for the European and American versions because EA were prepared to go to court with it - they owned the licences after all.

Also, in "Prologue", they were testing Ferraris and taking photos......

i dont think so !! let us hope it does :)

Yes. Ferrari. Lamborghini and Porsche are in.

Here is the official statement by PD:

GT4 - FERRARI, PORSCHE AND LAMBORGHINI ISSUE

Quota:
.....

....there is variety off all Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porche models trough history, totaling about 120 cars, including even Enzo, new concepts of Ferrari roadsters, Gallardo roadster and new GT3 with 05' design.

However, you can not access them from the beggining, first you have to obtain Diamond Licence, which is obtaing firstly by winning all golds to unlock Platinum Licences, and after beating all Platinums, Dimanonds are unlocked. You just have to finish all licences Diamond, and Ferrari, Lambo and Porsche will open IF you have 1,000,000 points and no less then 100,000,000 credits and if you manage to jump over the Le Manche Channel with the two bags of bricks after you have eaten the Buchingham's Cathedral.
....

(END)

Tough but it is worth it, I guess.

Lol, i wonder if anyone will take me seriously........
Well - IF you want to be taken serious, I seriously suggest that you start out by using the search button.. This subject has been beaten to death with a stick so many times that regulars tend to get ever so slightly aggrevated when yet another n00b asks the same question....

So search my young Jedi - I have faith in you !...

And the answer is NO !...

Woah!!, sorry mate!

Thats all i wanted a simple yes or no, flipping 'eck!!

Sorry for spoiling your fun guys, but I want to give this poor boy a serious answer:

NO, there are no Porsches, Ferraris or Lamborghinis in GT4.

I think it's about time somebody puts a sticky thread with this title in the GT4 section, cause this question is being asked over and over again. As you can see, you didn't really have a warm welcome with this question, and I do understand all the guys. If you have a question do a search. There are threads where owners of GT4 talk about the game and answer questions, and I'm sure you can imagine that this question has been asked and answered before. The search-button is one of the most powerful features in a forum, so use it! You'll find a satisfying answer to 95% of your questions. But use it wisely, don't give up if you haven't found it after 2 minutes.

Ok, ill rephrase my question then, why were they testing ferraris and looking around the ferrari museum in the "making of" movie?

Because they can?

Because all that reasearch was done long before they knew if they would be able to obtain the Ferrrari liscense.

Ok, ok I'll stop with this now....its painfully obvious that they ain't gonna be in and if they were you wouldn't admit it.

At least its good to see theres so many GT enthusiaists still. It really it annoys me with people going on about Need For Speed Underground 2 and the like, yes they are good games but to say they are better than GT? I loved the GT series since I first played GT1 and think it should at least have Ferraris in by now.......but I'm not going to say that again looking at the tempers of people at the moment....

Ok I'll cut you some slack since your a Manchester lad n'all, PD wern't actually testing thoes cars on the Prolouge DVD, they were filming and photgraphing a staff day out. It has led to mass confusion with people wondering why they choser to film a day out using thoes cars but unfortunately it had nothing to do with what was going to be in GT4.

They are testing them probbaly to see the car physics and how they handle on various trakcs. Just because PD is testing them doesn't mean it is going to be. For crying out loud this question has been answered 100 TIMES over if you had searched you would have found an answer. The server is slow enough as it is. Please search in future.

And no there are no Ferrari's, Lamborgini, Porsches.

👍

They were testing Ferraris because they wanted them modeled and ready to be in the game if they would get a license. Else there would have been no chance to get those cars in if they'd get a license a few weeks prior to release.

So, at least Porsches and Ferraris are modeled and ready to go, but Polyphony didn't get a license to put them in, so they aren't there.

Jesus, why the hell doesn't anyone bother to SEARCH or read the stickies before making a repeat post?
there are NO lambos, NO porsches, NO Ferraris and the EA license has NOTHING to do with ANYTHING in GT4. STOP SPAMMING!

use the BIG search button before you ask, READ the stickies.

mods, i suggest you put a 20 day no-post rule for new members, that way they'll bother to read instead of just spam away, and for non new members a 20 day no new thread ban for being lazy spammers.

👍 Or something like that .. Threads like that are really getting annoying and cluttering up the forum.

Well, your questions have been answered,. Have you anymore questions about the issue?

Also, PD most likely did not want to pull the same stunt they did in GT3.

Yeah, you're right, it has nothing to do with EA, it has to do with Sony and PD know all their fanboys will rush to buy the game even if there is 2 tracks and the only car is a Fiat Panda so they don't give a damn about getting these licenses sine all it would do is cut their profit margin. I'd personally be glad to pay an extra 5 bucks for the game if these brands were in, so Sony would still have their large profits but we would have these cars,

See ya :sly:
