Here's some suggestions:

1) Read the bottom 3 links in my signature. Those are the rules you should follow.
2) Read the READ THIS: threads at the top of each board, before you post in that forum.
3) Read the Index of boards on the Forums Home board, so you can see where threads actually belong.

Well, it seems you have learned your lesson (took you long enough). Stick by the rules that Duke pointed out and you should do fine. There is nothing wrong with making new threads. Just make sure that the topic has not been covered before by doing a quick search. If it is something that is quite interesting and has not been done before then by all means make a thread and share it with us.
