Looks like a bug on our server was secretly growing into a problem, which finally crashed our server this morning around 4:00 AM. I'm very sorry about that, and I'm off to install a patch which will hopefully prevent this problem from happening again in the future. :(
 
it's ok Jordan, but damn I had withdraws again!

It's like heart attacks with Chaney, you know it happens and he survives but how many more times can he live though?

ohh well, glad it's back up ok.
 
MazKid really does freak when GTP goes down. He messaged me on AIM and was like, "GTP is down. I tried to get on at 6:00 AM and it was down." Something like that.

Glad it's back up though. I can start posting again. :)
 
hehe VC I started to freak cause I tried the forums and then the main page...the main page loaded once, but the forums didn't, and I tried at school and it didn't work either...

I went to a little work function at an Indian restaurant last night and rolled in at about 10pm or so (Sydney time) with about half a dozen beers and a bottle and a half of chardonnay under the belt. I don't like to retire straight after coming home a bit boozed up (generally make anti-hangover precautions) so I sat down and fired up the PC - and no GTPlanet!!!

This saved me from making numerous drunken posts that I would look at this morning pondering 'what the hell was I thinking when I posted that!', so the downtime wasn't such a bad thing for me!

Although today at school this kid was high and making a retard of himself...funny as hell and he got busted.

I was probably about 30,000 feet above australia when this 'downtime' occured.

About five years or so ago I drove over to a cricketing buddy's place at around 11am Sunday morning - his folks were away, and he had hadanother fellow cricketer staying over (we were all around mid-twenties then) the night before.

Unbeknownst to me the boys had gotten bored with sinking beers at about 3am and had decided to start taking some speed that he had lying around (he was a medical student, pretty close to finishing his course).

So I roll in, six pack under arm, and here are these two guys, running around like lunatics, speaking this unintelligible gibberish (that later turned out to simply be them trying to speak very quickly!). It was pretty freaky initially (I'd never seen people high on speed before) but after about 15 minutes, once I'd worked out what was going on, it was hilarious - even better on Monday, when they had little recollection of what had actually gone on.

today i was trying to come ( here to gtp) and when i try it for time # 5 , i was like :( what is wrong with my pc,later i said to my self, that 🤬 company blockme the acess to GTP i gonna call them,and if they tellme a good reason for it i gonna piss on any of them.

but thanks to god the big man (jordan) found-n-fix the problem :)

I finally got some GTP time last night and the server was down... You unmitigated cad.... Expect a visit from my second.

Don't sweat it Jordan... I've worked in IT long enough to know that these things "just happen"..... Not your fault!

I noticed that last time around aswell got message saying that this email address no longer exsist's maybe it's that 30 day time limit on the account

No probs jordan i was out all night again you guessed it getting drunk again :rolleyes: so would have never known that the site was down but good to see it's still going ;)

Yes, I had accidentally let the account expire (of course, that's a good problem to have because it means the server hasn't been down! :)), but it should be re-activated and functioning normally now.
