It is with some sadness that I hearby announce the closing of Gran Turismo Speed.com. Lately, the Gran Turismo world had settled into a boring calm, and this website hasn't been updated in over a month. It's time to say goodbye.

I want to thank everyone who helped make this website one of the most successful GT websites out there. I'd like to thank Gamespy for graciously hosting this site, even when the download rates would have made most hosts cower in the corner in a fetal position and whimper. I'd also like to thank 'the guys': Jervinator, Gt2kid, and VetteEMT for always being there during the rise and fall of the OLoGT2 series.

Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the Turismo Informer. Thanks also to everyone who helped with the GT databases, even though they never were fully completed, the project couldn't have reached its high points without you. Thanks to Jordan at GTPlanet.net for his generousity in letting GTSpeed host its forums at GTPlanet.net for free. Jordan, you are a real human being - I wish all the luck in the world to your GTPlanet site!

And last - but certainly not least - I want to thank the readers of GTSpeed.com over the year(s). Nearly 85,000 of you visited this little site, and it wouldn't have been half the site without your input and support.

I realize in all of this, I have not mentioned my reasoning in full. I did touch on the fact that the GT world is not nearly as exciting as it used to be. Also, there are frankly better sites out there. I personally lost the will and dedication to keep this site in top form. It's my fault and I apologize. The Turismo Informer could have easily been one of my greatest creations, but was simply too much work. I'm currently developing an Internet multiplayer game and simply don't have the time anymore to keep GTSpeed afloat. (Contact me if you are interested in beta-testing the game. ;) )

So, without further ado, I bid you and GTSpeed.com a fond, and sad farewell. Goodbye, I'll miss you.

Even though I was not a regular visitor at GTSpeed.com im sorry to hear the news about this place. I would just like to thank Jordan for keeping AltF8’s forums a part of the GTPlanet community.
