Soul Calibur 2!!!!

Any of you guys got Soul Calibur 2? I heard that its a pretty awesome game. Ive played soul calibur and soul edge and I loved those games. Should I get this for my PS2?

The reviews say it's pretty cool. I like the idea of different characters for each platform, but it would be really cool if you could unlock the characters for the other platforms on each platform.

nope, the characters of Heihachi and Link are exclusive to their respective consoles (legally speaking) There is the rumor on IGN that Spawn is hidden on the other 2 versions though, so you never know.

I got the game yesterday - and being a fan of Soul Edge, I would definately recommend you getting this game...
I was a bit dissapointed to see Heihachi as a playable character from the start. I was expecting that he had to be unlocked... Yoshimitsu is not playable (yet) though..

what kills me is the removal of Rock. If anything they should have tossed Astaroth instead.

Bah, just got the Pal version for the X-Blox.

God the voice acting sucks, i'll stick to the Japanese PS2 version i've had for about 5 months now.

Great game, great fun to play with mates.

There is no Rock in SC2 but there is one very similar character called Berserker, he uses a giant axe, much in the same way as Rock.

Theres also Yoshimitsu in SC2.

OOO!!! Yoshimitsu is so awesome! Is he wearing the Tekken 3 clothes or a really new style of clothes? ......The PS2 version has have the worst special character since it has Heihachi...I mean, Link gets a sword, SPawn gets an axe, but Heihaci has his fists? Thats just weird..and sad....

What is that supposed to mean? They arejn't any different than those who made the XBox and GC versions. The only thing I've found bad during my 5 days of renting is the loading times are a tad slow, but if you are a Quake 3 fan like me, the loading times aren't too bad.

Yo dudes. I've got Soul Calibur for the Dreamcast, and it kicks ass even though the Dreamcast is a crock of s@!t. Two questions; is it worth £45 and is it better than Tekken 4? Someone's gotta know.

Definately better than Tekken. Tekken is way too slow, and SC2 has so much more depth. I would also reccomend Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution for an excellent fighting game.

Tekken and SC2 are almost the same since they the moves for all the characters in both games rely on combos. SC2 is better since it has that air control system and 8 direction sidestepping. Does yoshimitsu still have the move where he jumps on his sword and starts hopping around? I love that move, its sooo funny.

Yeah, and you guys get Link, much better than Heihachi in my opinion. Partly because I am a huge fan of Zelda, and Link does have an actual weapon.

Yeah, PSM gave it a 9/10 and OPM gave it 5/5. And yes, it is good for killing friends.

You know Heihachi is kinda lame compared to Spawn, which is the X-Box version. Maybe they should have used Crash Bandicoot instead.

Yeah, he could have Aku Aku and just school everyone. Although like I said before, it would be nice to have a character with a weapon.
