Sound "coming/going" problem

So after I installed Windows 8.1, i've had this problem with the sound coming and going in certain games, but not all.

For example, Battlefield 4 works great, but Arma II or Counter Strike GO having problems with the sound coming and going, and adjusting volume and surround by itself.

Is there any drivers that i've not installed that went missing after the change to a newer OS?



I've updated every windows update there is, and it's still the same.

I am using a G35 headset, but i've also tried other headsets and surround system.

Not sure if I have anymore info (that I know of at the moment), because i've never encountered this problem. Just ask, and i'll check.

Any help is really appreciated!
 
I've had similar issues in previous Windows OS', disabling Loudness Equalisation was one suggestion, might be worth seeing if that works.

Where can I find that option? Found it, though it didn't do any difference.

I also seem to miss something called Realtek HD Audio Manager aswell that I had on Win7, not sure if that's what's causing all this.

Quite possibly. I've got that installed on my 8.1 machine.

How can I install it? It was orignally on my Win7 but not on Win8.1.

Can't seem to find any download? There probably is, but i'm not seeing it.
