So when I first got GT5 I was still using my old CRT TV and a scart connection, great sound but didn't look so great. At Christmas I got a relatively cheap HD-ready LCD TV, and an HDMI cable. The game looks awesome now, but i am having some sound issues with GT5, in that during races the volume seems to often fade, almost as if it is panning through a speaker that isn't there (the TV has two relatively basic stereo speakers)
At first I though it was just tinny speakers not dealing with bottom end very well as it often seems to be when I change gear and the revs drop, so I am going to try some old PC speakers and subwoofer I have, either plugged into the headphone socket of the TV, or I will connect some way directly to the PS3.
Before I do so thought I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and there is a simple fix? In the PS3's settings I think the HD settings configured automatically, but it's set to 2.1 stereo sound i think, which should be correct? Does something else such as the bitrate perhaps need adjusting? As you can tell, I am no techie when it comes to such issues!
