Sound settings for ps3 wireless 7.1 headset

Anyone know the sound settings to set in gt5 for the new wireless headset with 7.1 virtual surround? Am I supposed to leave the setting to living room and auto or jack it up to home theater and virtual surround or 7.1?

Sorry cant help but I would just try all the settings see which suits best, and then you will be the ones to tell others how to do it !
What is the headset like ? its not released in the UK yet but mine is pre-ordered 👍

I got it for $79 cnd, the sound is ok for the price. It also works on the pc. For GT5 I picked surround sound
5.1 and speaker size to small theater. I think just like with receivers, if you pick large setting, the range of sound is different and you will notice the volume is lowered. I guess we just have to test out the settings ourselves to see what sounds best

Were did you get it for $79:00 Canadian? They are $ 99:00 everywhere.

It is out in UK mate, my wife got mine on Monday but won't let me have it until Xmas, dam! Was 69 pounds

I also paid mine $99 yesterday at Future Shop! If someone could tell me where that thing sells for $79, I'm gonna go back to FS with that information...

I tend to play at night while kids/wife are alsleep so I'm looking for something like this.

Same situation here, I bought those to play at night when wife and kids are asleep... but the sound is so good that I think I'm gonna use them even when they are awake :) I've heard sounds that I've never heard before with these headsets! I think they are entirely worth the price (paid them $99)!

I looked at a few others, but I would have to split my potical out and had a cable running across the room. WIth the Sony set I can just plug them in to charge while my daughter is ignoring Barney, but won't let me turn it off :)

My friend has a pair and I played MW2 with them.The sound is amazing and yes you will hear things you never did before.I could hear the guys creeping up on either side. Hell yeah they are worth every penny.They hold a charge for 12 to 14 hours too.I am looking for the $79 deal cause the are $99 at Future Shop here too.
 
I still think my samsung 5.1 sounds better.
Anyways I got it at the Sony store because I got a customer appreciation coupon for $15 or $25 off $100 spend. All I remember was that I didn't pay $99 for them :)
 
They are NOT out in UK yet.
IMPORT Shops will IMPORT them from US same as every other USA only product.
The High ST RRP is £90 but with the usual Discount online you get the Amazon and Play.com price of £79.99. Official EU release date is the 18th of Nov same as the New Sony BT Keyboard.

The headset is Virtual 7.1 from games only as it has only 2 speakers.
If your audio is normaly via HDMI you get the choice. pick 7.1.
If its optical you have no choice DTS 5.1 will be first then DD 5.1

The headset uses Sonys own Virtual coding only on PS3.

Because the speakers are close to your ears. Dynamic range effects to counter the room are not needed. Turn it off.

Yes virtual 7.1 wont be any were near a HDMI 7.1 audio set up.
And they are only for USB audio out devices. SKYHD nope. FreeviewHD Nope Freesat HD, Nope..unlike the other headsets that cost £20 more.
