Has anyone else here besides me felt that the sounds of American muslce cars are a bit innacurate on the GT series? I didnt think much of it on GT2 and 1, but I was expecting something better in GT3. Every V8 muslcecar Ive heard has a really deep throaty sound to the engine (with the exception of a few, like mabye the Cobra R, but this definitley applies to the Shelby Cobra and Camaro Z28/SS). But on GT they sound like someone stuffed a sock up the exuast. I find it hard to believe that the sounds are actually taken from the real cars...

You guys just don't have a good enough audio system (: I used the optical audio connection and jacked it into my Yamaha receiver. 500 Watts of Dolby Digital will make you think a little different. Just adjust the audio properties on your TV ... crank the bass!

I could not have said it better myself !!
Nothing wrong with the sound, just turn it the hell up!! 😈

The Camaro and Z06 are still poorly represented soundwise. And the Cobra R does NOT have that loud a timing chain (the annoying whine @ 7000 RPM). The loudest, most aggressive tone comes from the Arta / Raybrig / Castrol Mugen NSX. I find this hilarious.

Also notice the American tracks have the most migrane inducing backgrounds?

I don't want to say its biased, but to my eyes...

I have a very nice audio system...but I still think GT2 had better sound. Each car had its own sonic "signature", and upgrades were well represented (i.e., it gets louder with a straight pipe 😈 ).

GT3 is still very good, tho.

you ever think that people make thier car sound different?

I know the sound of the RX-7 Infini, and it's slightly off, TO THE ONE I HEARD. Now if you found a brand new car, and it was different then it could be slightly off, but you have to consider speakers, audio set up, view, parts you bought for the car(muffler), and the fact that it's a game, and I'm satisfied with the current sounds.
