Soundtrack ain't that bad after all, I guess

I once read, I think it was the IGN review and also GS, weren't so happy about the original GT5 soundtrack but to be honest, after you get rid of all the annoying ****** and then (I'm a classic fan) enable all those classics, the games really gets some expansive, exclusive charme, that fits to the Signutare Edition, I own.
Especially those classic covers with a subtle touch of modern drama Hollywood movie style is great.
And, hey, come on, Lang Lang was playing some of the tunes aswell.

The only real hater and I guess everyone will agree is that god damn baby song :mad: about I guess, a very young girl who loves a boy but can not describe why she is in love... ...smells fishy to me. Call FBI.
It just doesn't fit to the rest and I can't remove it. It still appaers at every prestart preperation and Online lobbies.

That's supposed to come from a small children, you know, apperently a girl. Maybe my thoughts are so dirty to think of something... ...odd but but it's annyoing as well, or at least to me.
Classics are great, just his one song.
 
First thing I do for all GT's when I get them is turn off all music in every area of the game.

The engine is enough (especially the Ferrari 430 scuderia on full race exhaust, just as it reaches maximum revs)..

GT music is awful, always has been always will be.

I like the soundtrack too but I hate the stupid phrases of Jeff Gordon. Dingelingding.... :yuck:

What's funny about this song is technically I think it's horrible, I would never listen to it on my own, it has nothing to with with racing or automobiles, but whenever it comes on the menu I start bopping my head along!

I usually turn all the music off, too. Even the songs that I liked in GT4 were few and far between. GT5 is different though, since I can put my own music (Rage, Soundgarden, Hendrix, ABBA, lol) in.

On-topic: I haven't really explored the in-game music that much, except for a few quick listens here and there. Can't say anything struck me as something I'd want as I'm driving. Plus, why listen to this stuff when I can put any of my own music in? :sly:
 
Ghost, what is the name of that song, and can it be found in the music DB in the game? I really like it, but can't find it there, and V Cast Song ID for my Droid can't ID it either. (nor can I find it in Google with any means I've been able to try so far)

I don't buy that it's from a pre-teen. I suspect it's a couple Japanese girls. They tend to sound like children in groups. Especially when excited about something. I've watched a song for Gunsmith Cats recorded, and if you didn't see the 3 hotties at the mic in the studio, and also didn't otherwise know better, you would assume it to be children (by our Western "ear"s). Much of You're Under Arrest's soundtrack is this way too.

Highlandor, TOTALLY disagree. Have you listened to the original GT Soundtrack by Masahiro Andoh & Isamu Ohira? Or for that matter, all the killer stuff in GT1 and 4 (1 probably had the best of the US specific soundtracks, but 4 had some really good stuff. And of course, Dogg Turismo 3 rules. I can't really remember much of GT2 or 3 soundtracks though, just because it's been so long. I remember GT1 because I have a CD of songs from the game - Garbage, Ash, Cubanate.... rawk! \m/ ).

Also, not all the game sounds are that great. The straight cut gears in the custom transmission I put in my Mach 1 sounds like a supercharger going dead in the cabin next to me, and it drowns out the V8 (hate that). And the Murcielago LP670-4 SV is actually disappointing. Sounds good in a drive-by shot, but not in the car. I can tell they tried to get it right, but watch the Top Gear clip where Hammond drove it in Abbu Dhabi, it's off - and actually could get annoying if it went on long enough I fear.

It had to do with the discussion and the point I was making (the explanation for it), as, since I'd never heard of the song before, I thought it was Japanese, which lead me to all the above. But... seems I'm wrong.

Thanks for the link though, that lead me to a quick search and I found it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ik40VsaEZck (the GT5 mix, and with just a nice GT5 logo while it plays)
