So I've been fiddling about with Space Invaders Extreme, Taito's seemingly 30th attempt at remaking Space Invaders in as many years. And unlike the pretty "meh" fest that was Space Invaders DS, it seems like Taito finally got this one right. The gameplay is refreshingly original yet still familiar, the game is stylistically brilliant, and the rumble feature is implemented perfectly, to be frank (think Rez, essentially). The videos online simply do not give the game its due. I'm interested in playing this with the Arkanoid Paddle controller, but I'm not sure if I want to import it. This is to Space Invaders what Pac Man Championship Edition was to Pac Man, I'd say.
