is that a no-no? if so? can we report them?

lately members have been make more than 1 post of the same thing within 30 mins of each other! instead of editing their original post.đź’ˇ

and it's getting annoying!

is that the new trend?👎

this is a flame free thread:tup:

admin/mods please give me your input!

thanks

That's not specifically in the AUP I don't think, but you have written a whole post/thread against the AUP. "Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters."

No, spamming is not allowed in any form. Even if they aren't spamming, you're also describing double posting, and that too, is not allowed.

thank you!

the main thing is. i see alot of people reply to a post. the op didn't reply back atleast 20 mins or more. then they start a new post with the same stuff. then when the person from the other post replies on the new post. the poster gets mad!

He's not flaming, he's right.

Its an issue that you have both been warned about and given an infraction for in the past.

To make a thread that actively invites the staff attention while ignoring a part of the AUP you have been firmly told must be followed is not a smart idea.

The AUP applies to all members and that includes you.

Scaff

Double-posting is only frowned upon under two conditions:

1. If it's within minutes of the original and you don't edit.
2. It doesn't contribute anything new to the topic at hand.

There are exceptions to the first and that's where the second condition comes in, if it's your thread and the double, triple, or even quadruple posts are necessary then no one will say anything. If it's something that could have said in the OP, then it'll be considered excessive spamming.

EDIT:  @ blaaah.

It has nothing to do with spam in the same post! Making a new thread about the same exact thing within a certain amount of time, Instead of editing the 1st post.

Well if the person is making multiple threads about the same thing then what do you think it is? Of course that's spamming. Either that or the person doesn't know what they're doing....which while being unlikely is still possible.

And I do believe you said making new posts not threads, that's where some of us are getting the idea of double posting.
