What track are we running here?

Ok, a few questions.

When does the first race start?

When does the first race end?

What circuit is the first race?

Will this be hotlapping or multi-lap racing? Or a combo?

Is this a race series? or just one spot race?

to answer both of your questions at one time, the first race will be a holap pre season race at grand valley speedway. It starts now and will go till next week on Wednseday at 12:00 am. this is a series, that is why it is in the long term series forum.

This sounds like a fiar bit of fun. However, with only a one week run time, those of us who have full-time jobs won't fancy competing. I could probably run a couple of races because for me full time means 3 twelve hour days.
But if my days off don't fall during the week, I have to share the PS2 with my kids.

3M,
One of the Miatas (the LS) is far and away the best of the bunch.
All have the same engine, but by the time you do the allowable mods there is a 20+ HP advantage to the LS. It also has the best Power to weight ratio.
The '93 and the '98 are fairly close in P/W ratio but in my hands the '98 RS is faster by a full second.
I have run the LS 5 seconds faster per lap than the '93.
This with less than 5 laps in any of the three!
Given some practice, I'm sure that I can widen that gap a bit more.
Are you planning to group the like cars together? (As in LS's vs LS's, RS's vs RS's and '93's vs '93's)
Or perhaps we should be able to add HP to get the P/W ratios closer for all the cars?

I also noticed the LS owns all the Miatas in both the turns and straights.

Sorry to say, but I am going to bow out on this. It is all too disorganized. When putting a race series together you have to do alot more than just post a few lines of text. You need to think out all the rules, the circuits, pre-run all the races, think of all possible problems that could come up, etc etc.

I wish you luck.

I don't think I'll be doing it either. Not enough time, and I still dont really get the whole idea you have for different races.

New change, the hotlap is to be held off until further notice until I can get more people up to date and interested in this Series.

MMM,
Another thing to take into account: with this stuff upgraded on the Miata, in arcade mode the game will likely send out much faster cars.
Every time I pull out my Spoon S2000 racer in arcade mode I get the "big" JGTC cars for competition.
I imagine a lightly modded Miata will garner similar response from the ai on anything but "Free Run".
