Special Stage Route 11... Better in GT3 or GT1

I drove my first race at the Special Stage route 11 today and boy has it changed...

I never got to play GT2 so I don't know what it looked like in it but in GT1 this track was totally different.

For a start there was a section where you dropped down under the freeway, through a tight chicane and back out from under it again. In GT3 that isn't there anymore... its completely gone.

Another thing is the lights... its all lit up with brightly colored neon lights... compared to the dark and gloomy one in GT1...

I acctually like this track now... before I hated it... would avoid it like the plague... now its actually quite challenging.

So what do you think is better... the GT3 version... of the GT1 version ?...
 
gt3 because of the colors and detail. Also the track is a nice track for turns of all sorts.

I liked the GT1 version better. That chicane under the Straight was my favorite part and when I drove on it in GT3 I was really disappointed. I don't know why Polyphony took this part out. But the graphics of GT3 make it look really good. But I still like the initial design of it on GT1 better.
 
I preferred the old track, I miss the elevation changes and the ultra-fast chicane.
 
I used to hate the track in GT1, but that was when I was younger and wasn't all about challenging tracks. Now, I miss it and I too was dissapointed when I saw it was changed. I wish they had kept in the original version. But at least they brought it back, as it wasn't even in GT2.
 
I never owned GT1, so can't compare it, but I quite like the track. From memory I don't think it was in GT2.
 
Oh, I'll take it in GT3 any time. I hated it in GT1.

But, the flip side to that is, I've also improved at the game, so that likely gives me an edge too.
 
I must say that it has to be the GT1 version. I used to love going through that chicane with me cerebra. I remember racing it the frist time on GT3 and going hold on wheres the best bit of the track gone? and as vat man said the elevation changes made it cool. The only thing that makes it good in gt3 is the scenery, anyone got any idea what that huge round dome thing is??
 
never played it in GT1(dont own it) but I hated SSR11 the first few times i drove it... but now I like it because of all the tight corners and the chicane. :)
 
I like the GT3 version because it's easier, but the GT1 one was my favorite because it was just so fun and really put the car and its driver through their paces.
