i was wondering if there are any sites/logs that connect each wheel forsale as a 'daily special' to its respective car.

I know some of them are easy to identify, as the BMW M Wheels, the honda integra-r wheels, etc.

But where do wheels like the gold 100 spokes come from?
What about those 5 star 3-piece polished wheels?

Those special wheels, the ones with the 'PD' prefix, seem to be aftermarket wheels. The 5 spoke multi-piece polished wheels look like SSR Professor SP-1's, and a few others look familiar too.

If there is no special wheel FAQ around, maybe we should start one here?

There is a "Today's Special" database floating around...searching for the link now.

Edit: The SEARCH function works 💡 :sly:

that wasnt his question 💡 he wanted to know a place, if there was one, that put each wheel with the car it belongs to.

if you notice on the name of the wheel, theres is usually 2 or 3 letters at the beginning of the name that signifies what car it came from, such as HO### which is honda. hope that helps ya, thats what i usually do. i think that other guy was right about the "PD"...i think that just means polyphony digital signifying that those wheels are aftermarket and dont belong to a particular car.

If you're wondering what cars the 'today's specials' originally came from, just look at the first two letters of the wheel to give you a hint. From there you'd have to go to that manufacturer and look at their new cars, some of the wheels come from used cars so you'd have to check the used lots too.

EG:

PD - Polyphony Digital (custom)
LO - Lotus
HO - Honda
etc.

Hope this helps, sorry if I was stating the obvious but I didn't see anything that specifically mentioned this.

I just saw those Gold Daytons (100 Spoke gold rims) They looked funny, I almost bought them for my M3 :D

Is there any difference in performance when changing rims. I never bothered. Only 2.9% more to complete.
