Thanks to everyone that recomended i buy this game, it clearly kicks  .

I have bought a Nissan Skyline with my heard earned cash and im a little unsure what to do with it. Ive done a search and come back with a few results but none that were really of any help.

I know the Skyline 4WD but ive only juyst started driving in real life and dont understand how to corner in a 4WD car, whenever i accelerate it rips the steering off me to speak, if I brake i skid and if i coast round I never seem to have enough lock on to make the turn.

I didnt have this problem in my old Yaris which was fairly fast when i was done with it, 298Bhp i think.

Another minor problem is accelerating from stationary in high powered cars, i watch a demo of the Viper in a licence test and he burns about 20 country miles infront of my ghost before I have the chance to say.

"Chuck me, that cars fast"

So any advice on the 2 questions above? need help with 4WD cars basically.

 Mage

Do you have any new parts installedon the car, if you do then it's the setup thats the problem, if it's still standard then get the racing suspension kit and the bakes and balance controller.

The settings have alot to do with your driving style so what I use might not be best for you but you want the fron springs to be harder than the rear, you want the front ride height to be lower than the rear and you want the front brakes to be stronger than the rear, I use 20-15 setup on most cars with the brakes, alot of people use 18-15.

The ride height should be set low for road racing and high for rally racing, don't set it as low as it can go though because the wheels will scrub the bodyt and the car will bottom out over some kerbs and bumbs.

I have the Toe set at 2.0 for the front and 1.5 for the rear, the camber is at 3.0 front and 2.0 rear. As I said before though you may need to tweak the settings for them to work for you. If you wan't to keep the car standard for a while the brake before the corner not as your going round it and accelerate without wheelspin, ie don't floor it at low rev's. The same is applied to the acelerating off the line, if you just floor it you don't hit 60 as quick as you do if you hold the rev's then apply more power without causing wheelspin.

One final point is to eliminate understeer in a 4wd car you can get the VCD which changes the ammount of power delivered to the front and rear wheels, get that from the other upgrades menu and set it so a lower % of power goes to the front of the car, around 15% is usually good but I have alot of mine set to the lowest.

Woo Ha, thats eliminated my understeer.

First corner i took was a medium right and i plowed into the right wall, need to tone down the settings a little, thanks for the help.

Im still fearful of fiddling with it too much as I really dont know what each part does.

At least now ill have a better racing style.

thanks again.

But the Skyline handles better without a VCD.

Yeah, before you tune to hell anyway but I was speaking about 4wd cars in general.

Start on 2:nd gear and be easy on the accelerator.
