i tryed using a lower speed car and driftinh and i jsut cant do it...uit goes too slow!!! i mean my driftin is crap anyway what noramlyl happens is i drift....then it gets slower.....slower....slower...to about 30m/h and i just accelrate out the corner..its boring and crap i know but i dont know wot im doin wrong...and also should i practise drifitn with stronger or slower cars?

thanx

if you're using sim tires on a lower powered car you should be able to hold the drift through the whole turn...I started really drifting with a stock RX-7 RZ first on normal tires and later on sims and I drifted pretty well with that, so that'd be a car I'd recommend. As far as Fast cars vs Slow cars for practicing...I'd say it all depends on the tires...a really fast car 500hp+ and some softer tires drifts about the same as a 300hp car on sims..at least as far as difficulty (IMHO).
I personally have more fun drifting cars with over 400hp just because I hate how the slower cars accelerate really slow after a drift. I love drifting in races.

thanx for the repl...i can now drift quite well now!!! and im proud :)...one thing i cant do is 4wheel drift..... and i agree with you about slower cars exiting the corner slowly...but there must be some kinda technique right?

Make sure that you correct your angle before you exit the corner. Don't nose in to more of a degree than the road goes, or you're bound to lose more and more speed.

hey akina, what settings do u have 4 ur Spoon Civic, i eman i dunno if it matters wheather its the Spoon or jsut the Type R, cuz ive been tryin to drift the longer turns on Apricot Hill, but the drift jsut wont stick with me, it'll jsut stop drifting after about 2/3rds of the large u-turn, can ya help me out a'lil, i'd greatly appreciate it

Akina 86 mentioned something I should have, and he's completly right, you should have better gripping tires on the front of your all wheel drive car, simply because most of the time the front wheels don't get enough power to distort the drift if they DO gain traction, along with that it makes it easier to regain decent acceleration upon the exit of the drift.

oh hmmmm.......well its just how u control the e-brake.....well try to not let the angle go so far. think of an angle. if the car surpasses that angle push the E.. if not hold. see it just the matter of controlling the e-brake. setting would matter for FF. also have the rear tyres hard maybe it might help. the front must be super soft... just ask again if ur still having problem.

u gots it yo.......now just feel it outs..... keep practicing. u can also start from low speeds and angle ur car to build ur speed.....try its it very important for drifting.
