Hi All,

Complete novice on tuning but i generally get there (ish!) in the end. I race in a league so need to drive and tune quite a few cars but this time im up againt it! The race regulations for this season are:
Max 465PP
No Aero
Sport Soft Tyres
All competitions are raced without any aids (even ABS) to add as much skill as possible.

Ive chosen the Speedster Turbo as the tracks that we are driving on are all quite short and twisty (Autum Ring mini, Grand Valley East, Deep Forrest etc) and this should give me a nice light nimble base to work from.

So last night was the first event at Grand Valley East Reverse and im really struggling to keep a consistant pace. The car seems to go from slight understeer to oversteer really nicely. The car feels like it has narrow tyres so you expect to slide more. What i cant seem to tune out is the sudden snap oversteer i get....... any suggestions??????

Thanks 👍

NOTE:TRY TO PLAY WITH BALLAST POSITION IS NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE DISCRETION OF YOU, GOOD LUCK.

If you can try to get your hands on the non turbo model. You can add the turbo and it weighs less overall.

^wrong. the weight difference is enough to make giant difference in the balance. The non-turbo is way more balanced. its roughly 50kg weight difference.

Post you build in full and give the guys a chance to see what might be wrong 👍

Will do as soon as i get back tonight! 👍

Thanks for the tune xande1959!! From memory it looks completely differnt from what ive got.

Thanks for the info on the non turbo model, unfortunatly as ive already entered in the Turbo, i cant change :-(

I haddnt thought too much about the weight balance, ive kept it light thinking that a nimble car on the tight tracks would be quicker than a heaver / more powerful version. Will try this out tonight and let you know how it compaires!

Thanks guys 👍👍

Both versions are light(being similar in size as a Lotus Elise). The non turbo is just the lighter of the two. Actuallly, iirc the non-turbo was the secret to winning the opel speedster challenge on GT4, ahhh the days of people not complaining about their favorite car being a "standard"*end reminisce*

Sorry this has taken me so long... Ive tried the tune supplied by Xande (thanks again!!) and whilst is was 0.3 sec slower around Autumn Ring Mini i did manage 9 laps all within .1 of each other so its much more consistent! I did find on this particular circuit that the fastest laps were with 0 ballast and a slightly lower BHP, I will test tonight to see how this translates to the full circuit...... The race is tomorrow night so i need to get dialed into this soon!!!!

Sorry for such a late reply (waiting for you to post your set-up, but your race is soon). I know you have an Xande tune, but if you're looking for something different (and a spare car... mine runs bolt-ons) here you go. Good luck with your race 👍
