Spent 20mil on Ferrari and...

I saved and dropped 20,000,000 credits on a '67 Ferrari 330 P4 and the car is NO WHERE to be found in my garage! Needless to say, I'm pretty pissed... I got the "penniless" trophy and now I'm broke (>2mil) with nothing to show for it. Has this ever happened to any of you? If so, is there any way to either restore my credits or get the car that I bought?

Please excuse if this has already been covered--I did a quick search and found nothing on this topic. Also, this is my first post, as I am a new member to the forum.

Thanks for any help that any of you can provide.

Are you 100% sure it's not in your garage? Otherwise if you have a backup you could reload that...
 
That's unfortunate. I'm assuming you've looked throughout you garage and not found it lurking in the back somewhere?

The only upside is that with the current B-Spec seasonal events you can run a Super GT on SS and take an easy win for, with 200% bonus, 4'000'000 credits and get back your 20m in 5 races.

I've definitely searched my garage... A few times. How does one have/get a backup, matty?

Thanks for the B-Spec tip, W3HS. I'll get on that right away!
 
If you had one you'd know. You back up your game save on a USB, which if your PS3 crashes then you don't lose your progress.

That's your problem, you should have got the Ford. :sly:

Anywho, have you tried arranging by Date acquired and gone into the premium section? It might just be hiding somewhere?

Funny! I bought a '69 GT40 from the used car dealer before buying the Ferrari because I like the lines of that one versus the MKIV!

I've gone in and sorted by date and make, and there is no trace of the 330. It's bothering me so much that I'm seriously thinking of contacting someone at Polyphony to see if there is something they can do to assist me. I know that sounds crazy, but there was a lot of driving that went into saving up for that car!

I empathise with your loss, but I'm afraid there won't be any help coming from them, since it looks like an isolated "incident" (and a virtual one at that ...). I guess you're left with one choice ... grind the money back ^^;
 
Its unlikely but perhaps a possibility, are you 100% you bought the ferrari and not the ford? i've sworn blind before that ive bought a car before only for me to have bought another similar car instead. Otherwise i cant think of anything else that would result in it not being there.
 
from some update, garage sorting preserves the choice. So, probably you just need to sort your garage by "Acquiring Data" (i don't remember descending or ascending order - try both) and you will find your P4 on the top of premium car list.

I dont think you purchased the 69 GT40 before the ferrari as there both 20 million credits unless you did a few races between or even emptied your bobs.
 
That's weird! Did you dive straight in and drive the car as you bought it or choose to put it straight into the garage? Weird glitch. I love both the 330P4 AND the Ford iV, both awesome in their own way, the Jag is great too.
I got the '69 GT40 as a prize car, I got one on a ticket too so I have two of this car.
 
I had the same issue the other day with the Skyline R35 TC, it just dissapeared off my list in the garage. I decided to choose another car and complete the race in that, and when I went back to my garage it had turned up again lol!
 
Wondering if the icon for the ferrari has changed? This has happened to others in the past where the small picture for the car in your garage isn't the actual car you have. There's a way to fix it I just don't recall how.

That normally happens when you dupe/borrow glitch etc, as the guy who made this thread didnt seem to know how to back up a game save i wouldnt have thought it was this. You never know tho!

As some one mentioned, buying the GT40 and the P4 would cost 40m, i'm guessing he wanted both, didnt realise the GT cost 20m then tried to buy the P4 and thought he did. when he's gone to check he then only has the GT40. Could be a simple mistake if he's been on the beer at xmas/had lots of late nights :scared:
 
I don't think an incident like this has happened before, are you sure it's not in your garage? Maybe the thumbnail is removed? Filter your garage and look for it properly.
Seems pretty ridiculous that that would happen..
