Ok i have won the tokyo race with a fiat 500 and a mazda (eunos) roadster. Irrelivant of tuning and tyres what is the oddest car you have done the tokyo seasonal with.

Not interested in NSX's and RX7's, lets get in some of the dafter cars GT gives us. Like my fiat 500 1.2 lounge, who dreamed that name up? Its tuned to buggery i'll admit but its a right laugh. Be even quicker when i sort the understeer.

C'mon where are the oddballs......-

Been toying with a Daihatsu Move SR-XX fully tuned to 470PP (with rear wing) on Racing Soft tires. Still need to sort out the transmission and do some very minor fine tuning of my suspension, but I'm currently placing second about 2 seconds behind. With near perfect driving and the previously mentioned issues taken care of should be able to win. Just have to make sure I'm in first before the turn onto the front stretch as the Move doesn't have either the acceleration or top speed to keep up in a drag race. Top speed without draft on this track is around 125mph.:crazy::D
 
C'mon, surely people are using the cars in the game. Just putting hard tyres on an nsx is like putting naff boots on David Beckham.

Tuning a car then driving the wheels of it is the base of the game isn't it?

Yes, although RS tyres can kill the fun just as much, so there is a balance to be struck.
 
True there is a balance to be struck but getting that fiat 500 to win against all comers at tokyo took time, the gear ratio's and understeer needed attention to catch the esprit.

Taking an NSX and then de-tuning to make a pp level is off. Taking a poorly performing car and making it shine is a far greater challenge. Using the nsx again for want of a better example, out of the box its a race winner. A 1200cc fiat on the other hand isn't. Thats my point. With all this money banging around its made people lazy, just using a car that rips it rather than an appropriate car.

A race prepared zonda for madrid, struth, i am trying with a nismo gtr thats around 590pp, can't better second at the moment but there is more time in the car.

I agree that the format could improve, the stupidity of making up 20odd seconds in 3 laps is blatant. I think the starting from middle at a grid start with maybe 10 laps to do your stuff would be at least a variation.
 
Well for people that know me, knew I had to try my Honda Beat. It did it :D :dopey:
 
I managed to win Tokyo in the Countryman, albeit tuned to 466pp. Going to try it in the Beetle (P) as soon as the euro PSN servers are back up.
 
The Beetle on sport mediums. Is great fun.👍
 
I did it in a 320 HP S2000 on Sports Hard tires. Easy.
 
I did Rome and Tokyo with the Hommell Berlinetta. One of my B-Spec drivers did the Super Nostalgia Cup at Suzuka & Laguna Seca with the Ginetta G4. Don't know if that is odd enough.
 
The race is what you make it. This is more like it.
 
I did it earlier in the little fiat, came 4th...then won I the '76 Golf Gti. Great to see the little cars screaming past wagons twice their size.

I can't remember what I used the first time but it was quite tough in a Clio v6 with comfort softs PP matched with the AI. I'd give more details but I just started the Nurb' 24hr.

I done it with fully tuned fiat panda super 90 on RS, Great little car, so light and quick but useless on straights.
