I just downloaded the demo for Splinter Cell and it has some great graphics. It plays just like Metal Gear with more of a real world tone, not the more creative nature of Metal Gear.

My system:

Athlon XP 2000+
512MB DDR PC2100 memory
GeForce 3 Ti500

It runs well on my system. I'd say about 30 to 40 fps.
 
Thanks Viper Zero. I am currently waiting for the download to start. I have to wait 11 minutes. It's only 100 MB so it's not that bad. Thanks for the links! :)
 
Now this just sucks. It wants this : Engine requires desktop set to 32 bit resolution.

My computer will only go up to a 24 bit resolution. :(

What kind of video card do you have?

hp pavilion mx70 on Intel(R) 82810E Graphics Controller.

Dang, that even sounds like it sucks.
 
Sounds like an intergrated chipset. You can always upgrade, if you have an AGP slot and disable the intergrated chipset in your BIOS.
 
I'm downloading it right now...started about 20 seconds ago and its at 10%. I love cable :D.

It'll run good on mine:

AMD Athlon XP1800+
512MB RAM
GeForce 4 Ti4200 64MB DDR AGP
 
The 64MB runs better. It even says so on the box. So...*sticks out tongue* Phfffff!!!

PLayed the game for about 20 minutes straight. Very intense action...the music freaks you out. I got caught on surveillance but destroyed the tapes...:D Great game! Runs great will all the nifty special effects on also. And I'm running it at 1024x768!!
 
Go to your display properties > Settings > Advanced > GeForce > Performance & Quality Settings.
 
Got enough pictures? - That is some awesome game!
The graphics are incredible good to see powerful boards producing good frame rates!

It seems that when I enable 2x anti-aliasing I get a fog effect where I can windows through walls, etc but they look very foggy...???
 
Enable Quinconx (spelling?) anti-aliasing. It reckons that it gives the image quality of 4x AA at the speed of 2x AA.
 
Even with that system, you'll get about 4 fps in Splinter Cell using 1600x1200.

I too, seem to get that see through wall thing. It looks like all GeForce cards get that bug. Don't expect a patch to it either, the game is coming out next week.

Quincunx sucks. You might as well use 4x because Quincunx only has a slight increase in fps over 4x.
 
4xS is better. But, it really brings your system to its knees. The only thing better than 4xS is 4x 9-tap. Only the newest cards support this.
 
I have these options on my antialiasing slider:
Off - 2x - Quincunx - 4x - 4xS

I click on the ? button and bring it down to the antialiasing slider and click. It gives me the following:

Off, 2x, Quincunx, 4x, 4x 9-tap. :confused:
