Splinter Supercar Concept 2008

With one of the most beautiful body finishes of any car I've ever seen, the Splinter Concept is an almost completely wooden supercar that bears something of a resemblance to the Ford GT90. It weighs in at just 1,134 kgs and is powered by a twin supercharged 600 horsepower 4.6 litre V8, giving it a projected maximum speed of 240 mph, although this hasn't been tested.

Although the chances seem slim, I would love to see the Splinter debut on GranTurismo...

I would go out on a limb and say that the company maple it from the market if it's safety systems were to be compromised.

If Gran Turismo ever had 100% perfect damage physics, I could probably spend a week crashing this car into the back of the computer cars, into tyre/concrete walls and just watch the thing explode into a sawdust bomb.

Not if it had several coats of a durable varnish. No need to worry at all.

I usually like companies that try something different, go against the grain if you will, but this car is knot for me.
