Split Screen Audio

While playing in split screen mode, how does one set the audio for each car to travel only to the relative mando / headset?

We tried playing split screen a few times earlier in the year, but both headsets were receiving the audio for both cars, making it impossible to race or enjoy.

Maybe try auxiliary cords to directly plug into the DS4.
