Split screen questions?

i've been playing with my friend on split screen for a while until i noticed my tuned cars are not tuned for example i have 650bhp skyline and on split screen its say's it has 300bhp this is quite frustrating and also another question.

i can hear the 2nd player's car but my car is very quite and you can't hear it i've tried to resolve it by using the same car but some times when i quit and eject the disc and put it back in i can hear my car? why is this it's quite frustrating

Don't worry.
Your favorite cars have their settings, it's just the stats that shows wrong but your settings and BHP is still the same on the car.

The sound issue is something I hate as well.
