Can you use a Thrustmaster wheel AND Logitech wheel for split screen in GT6?

I have used a Logitech Driving Force GT for the past two years and recently took the (forced) route of purchasing a Thrustmaster T300RS for use between my PS3 and PS4. My goal was to sell the DFGT and Wheel Stand Pro to help offset the cost of my Playseat and new wheel BUT having kids aged 7 and 10 has gotten me to thinking about keeping it for possible split screen racing/GT6 Drivers Ed duties (in addition to being used for the games that do not support the T300RS).

Why am I posting this question if I have two wheels and can just test it out myself? I previously arranged for someone to bring my DFGT rig to work via car (I have a 90 minute train commute into DC) for the possible test drive and sale (to a coworker) later in the week and didn't think about testing it before the question dug it's claws into my grey matter. :dunce:

Google took me to GT5 where one group claimed success without specifics while the other side complained about the wheels battling over P1 dominance. No mention of GT6 at all.

Can anyone please confirm that a Thrustmaster wheel does in fact work in tandem with a Logitech wheel for split screen racing in GT6? If yes, were they plugged into the front ports of the console or could a hub used further down the line to split the connections (...in my mind it shouldn't matter)? Any special steps or considerations?

Thanks in advance!

With no replies I humped the old wheel back to the house (via public transportation...yay) and started testing things.

Using a super cheap non-powered USB 2.0 hub that I had laying around, I tapped into the USB extension cable coming from the PS3 and found the Thrustmaster virtually unusable with both devices plugged in. Steering was locked to half rotation either way, before meeting resistance, and the D-pad and buttons were completely unresponsive.

Plugging the DFGT into the second USB port on the front of the console gave both wheels full functionality and split screen racing showed everything working as it should.

To avoid having cables draped across the room, I'm going to test a powered (better quality) USB hub to see if I can get both wheels driving from the same USB extension.

I highly doubt that a powered hub would make any difference.

I'm pretty sure I have read somewhere that fully working connectivity of two devices via a hub is impossible.

Thanks. I've planned for that scenario and ordered a 10' extender just in case. From a space standpoint, plugging everything into the one connection would be a very tidy affair but since this not going to be a staple of the room, I'm okay tapping the second port on the front of the console. I'll chime in again later in the week after I've tried things again.

Racing Setup.jpeg Did you ever figure this out? I have a t300rs & G27 that I would like to connect to ps3 to race on GT6...

In my testing, sorry for the delay, I have both wheels plugged in separately to the front of the console and they work great in GT6.

T300RS + TH8A + Fanatec CSR Elite (CPX is wall powered) are plugged into a hub and USB extender to one front facing port and the DFGT is plugged into the other front facing USB port.

Enjoy!
