Most series will stipulate where the series sponsor decals go, but apart from that, you can put them anywhere you like.

You usually want to take a look at what the real world sponsors for what car you're making. If all else fails, a single sponsor strip on the bottom(side) and 1 big sponsor on the hood and side.
