I couldn't find this anywhere when searching, and I have to say I'm a little surprised.
Here's a link to a 35 minute demonstration of the game. It will take some time. However, it is equally as cool, if you don't have as much time (or if you're lazy), to let it load in the background or while you're out, and scroll through it a bit.
Basically, the concept is life. You start off with a spore; an organism. A microscopic living "thing". You then take complete control over it and grow it how you like. Over (a long) time, you progress through many, many stages and watch it grow, in real-time, into an animal or creature. You then start to conquer your environment. You can build a city; cities, if you like. Basically, it progresses on and on, for quite a long time.
The game stretches from a tiny microscopic being, into something as huge as intergalactic domination. You can take over galaxies. The universe. Anything you like, if you put your mind to it.
It's a highly fascinating game, and I'm sure it will be highly addictive. It's due for Q1 2008, and I'm definitely looking forward to it.
