So I got the idea to do a racing league that would be similar to real life. In this racing league you would start out with a set amount of game points and then you would buy your car and upgrade it with left over game points. After racing you'll be able to use your winnings to upgrade your car further. Here's what I've come up with so far.

Races
-Races: 12
-Race length: 50-100 miles
-Entry Fee will be different each race

Car Restrictions
-No Racecars
-No Race Mods
-Tire restrictions will be different each race
*I would like to ask you guys what you want for pp restricions

Game Points
-Starting game points: 30,000gp
-There will be an entry fee for every race
-The entry fee and winnings will change form race to race, but will be posted before the season starts
-Game points will be earned through race winnings
-When You buy your car, you will pay whatever the in-game price is. Example: If a car costs 12,000cr then it will cost you 12,000gp.
-You will report all purchases to me and I will keep track of how many game points everyone has.
-When you buy parts for your cars, you will pay the price listed below.
-Tires are only good for one race. You get unlimited tires during the race, so you won't pay for tires put on during pit stops.

Let me know if you would be interested in running this league

I must say that this sounds like real fun!!
Really, really like it! 👍

Only concern I have is how you're going to be able to police everything.. I meen, it's impossible to police if I use the customizable transmission instead of the stock one as soon as you can't prohibit tuning.

How do you plan to avoid that obsticle?

I'm a little concerned about that, but we'd just have to rely on everyone being honest racers.

I've just proposed a very similar thing amongst my club folks, though presently it hasn't the same level of detail as this. It does sound like a great idea, especially with your own set prices for parts, etc. It will, however, depend on trust between participants. You might not be able to police exactly what people have on their cars in the races themselves, but you can keep track of their bank balance and purchases by having everyone keep a log, which is available for viewing by everyone else. Excel may be useful for this.

Yes there will have to be a gentleman's agreement.

Like mentioned before about transmissions, I could watch the replay and compare the rpms to speed. If the rpms are high or low based on the stock transmission, I know they're cheating and they'd be removed from the series.

I think the biggest thing is that we just need people with a good reputations on GTPlanet. To me, this is more about having fun, than trying to cheat my way to the top.

It appears that people are interested, so I'll start working on getting a schedule together along with a few preseason races. I also need to look at car restrictions. Should I limit the pp or hp and weight, or even the power weight ratio. I like the power weight ratio the most. Let me know what y'all think.

RA1D3R: I absolutely agree.
And I know you can police the tranny.. Well, sort of police it. Same goes for the exhaust to some extent.
But it's practically impossible with suspension, clutch etc..
But yeah, it's all about trust and having fun. I agree. 👍

And as you said, you need to gather a good and honest group for this, yes.

I'll keep an eye on this thread and see how things evolve. 👍

I like it, only thing that would concern me would be the option to upgrade tires. I really don't enjoy racing on racing tires in street cars. The way you have it set up now, one would have to upgrade to the best tire right away to be competitive, I think it would be best if everyone was on the same tires. Other than that, it looks like a fun idea. 👍
