SS5 changed from the Prologue Version...

Is there something I have missed here!

A while back when Prologue was HACKED videos of unseen or unconfirmed tracks were found on it............One of which was the "revamp" of SS5.......I remember downloading the video and seeing a very new looking SS5 track.....it was WET and it had things such as a dark sunsetting sky, huge construction cranes.....large dark skyscrapers and huge spectator stands with large see thru canvas roof's .......at the time I was abit upset that it did not look like the original SS5 in GT3 ........it looked like a too fantasyish track......BUT! ......it eventually grew on me.....it even had a rainbow in the sky! ......

Since then GT4 has now been released.........and in the current video's thread I have seen the video of the saleen on a dry SS5......and it looks pretty much like the old SS5...... .....it has slightly new backgrounds and is not totally set at night......

My question is what ever happened to that original SS5 build found on prologue!!!?? It had nice features that are not seen in the release version, no more big stands close to the track.....no more big skyscrapers, cranes and orangey sky .....and WHERE HAS THE RAINBOW GONE!!!!!

Or it is the fact that SS5 and SS5 wet are now 2 different tracks that follow the same pattern .......I have not seen the SS5 WET final in GT4...........Is it the fact that the SS5 WET build on prologue was scraped!

If you compare them they are VERY different!!!!!!! so what happened......

So they decided to change it... big deal. It's their game, they can do that sort of thing without asking, you know.

Don't forget that the track was also unfinished. That crane is still there, it's just not floating in the sky by magic anymore.

Hmm. I'd never seen the Prologue SS5 - the rainbow makes it all look a bit tacky to me
Couldn't help but laugh when i read "WHERE HAS THE RAINBOW GONE!!!!!"
The GT4 version looks very very nice and much better IMO.

I think had they left that version from Prologue in, they woul dhave had to change its track name to Special Stage Ridge Racer 5.

I guess PD decided that rainbows would be too gay. I don't think so. I like that "hacked" version of SS5 also. I was also wondering if anybody unlocked it yet.

i like the version from pro,mayb its the wet version from the game and has not been unlocked yet,the floor looks wet and the ranbow would make u think it has just been raining b4,mayb?

Hopefully - a wet version would be good to see on GT4.
Might be unrealistic for a rainbow to be sustained for more than about 3 laps tho i suppose

Yeah I kinda over did the point about the rainbow .....but I do think overall the SS5 track on prologue did look really interesting especially on the home strait.....PD could have atleast kept the cool Polyphony Digital canvas stand roofs! 👍
