Best FPS EVER Poll....Stage 1

Everybody that plays FPS probably has a favorite. Many of us like Counter-Strike...some like Unreal Tournament....some like Halo....BUT....what is the best of the best?Well...thats what we are aiming to find out!The best FPS will be found (by a GTP consensus) in a few stages of polls. This is how it works:

First we start out with this thread. Everyone will post their nomination for best FPS EVER. After a set date, the nominations will be tabbed down and put into a Poll (Stage 2,Poll 1). The top 20 (number will probably vary depending on nominations entered) will be picked from the poll after it is over. If there is a tie, the tying nominations will battle in a tiebreaker and one will be eliminated (or more,if there is a tie of more than 2 nominations). Then, over a 40 day timespan,1 nomination will be eliminated (if a tie occurs, follow tiebreaker rules abive) every 2 days. When we finally arrive to the final 2,they will battle it out in a Grand Finale Poll and the winner will be declared the Best FPS Game Ever (of a GTP consensus).

If this confuses you,PM me for better info.

So,right now you have an objective and some rules.

OBJECTIVE:NOMINATE A FPS

RULES:

You may nominate 1 FPS game by putting the game name in your post. You may only nominate one.An example of an FPS would be Halo,Area 51,Counter-Strike,etc.The FPS must be RELEASED as an individual game, not as a inclusion (i,.e: CS:Source isnt an option).

So everybody, get nominating because the nominations close on Thursday!

Damnit, so many that I want to nominate. But it comes down to The original Half Life, or Perfect Dark for N64.

I'm gonna have to go with Perfect Dark. :)

Well, seeming I'm a little younger and haven't really been around when the original FPS's were about, I'd have to go for Half-Life 2.

Doom III was a very close choice as well though.

Unreal Tournament. The first one was SOOO sweet - beautifully balanced and some very cool levels... The speed of the game was very good too. 2003 and 2004 are way too fast paced for a grumpy old bastard as myself...
